This beautiful Ebony black 12 inch High Number 402 Vase was made by Cambridge Glass. This Vase has a beautiful etched Bird looking back, resembles a Bird in Paradise on both sides, with other etched leaves and flowers above and below the bird. Sculpted mid century bowl in sommerso with murrines, cane, and gold foil. The sommerso transition from the plum colored rim to the lattimo exterior allows considerable visual depth to the murrine arrangement. An exciting example of mid-century Murano color and metal inclusions: cane, latticino, murrine, and aventurine gold are encased in a sumptuous, double scroll modern form. The base glass is clear, with the exterior of the piece marvered in amethyst chips that give the form a nice amethyst shade. The piece is 6.5x7.5x2.5"h, unmarked, in perfect condition

This lovely vase was made in the early 1950s by Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso. Marc Heiremans documents the model #5148 and date of 1952-53 in his book DINO MARTENS, p. 163 and 190.
Aventurine, champagne and opalino half filigree embrace the body of the vessel and ribbon details were applied to the lip and neck. The vase measures 5 1/2"H, 4 1/2"D. and is in good vintage condition.
Fenton Cranberry Hobnail Double Crimped Opalescent 9" Bowl was made in the 1950's. In excellent condition.
