Large and Beautiful Murano OPALESCENT PINK and GOLD FLECKS At Glass Double Handles Center Piece Bowl!!! Believe this is a BAROVIER and TOSO or an even earlier Barovier Seguso Ferro piece!!! The piece has a thick crimped rim, with heavy gold leaf, and rigaree ribbon decoration on the bottom. Would make a great Fruit Basket, or have it filled with Flowers! Measuring just 4.25 inches long when assembled, this small souvenir item commemorates the Ausable Chasm in the Adirondack Mountains in New York State. A tiny leather case embossed with the chasm name and its location houses a small clothing brush constructed of natural bristles with silver-plated grip. Unmarked--in very fine condition! Wonderful Murano Cased ZANFIRICO and AVENTURINE FLECKS Twisted Ribbon Art Glass Table Desk Clock!!! Believe it to be an ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO piece, circa 1950s!!! Very unusual to find older decorative clocks like this one. For accuracy it has 1 small scratch to the clear part of the body. Please look at my other Seguso clock now listed - stock # 3370. Wonderful folk art box of a pyramid that opens to reveal sections to hold cigarettes and matches.
The entire surface is inlaid with square or rectangular pieces of wood in varying shades of brown and beige.
It measures 5 1/2" high and is 9 3/8" square, sitting on 4 geometric feet.
Surface appears to have a light varnish coating.
The form is a copy of the pyramid at Chichen Itza in the Yucatan Peninsula...
