Flavio Poli designed 5 variations of this fine example of Modern Design for Seguso Vetri D'Arte in the 1930's. Marc Heiremans' "SEGUSO VETRI D'ARTE" documents this sculptural bowl form: Model #3434, P. 85. This beauty is done in the "pesco oro" technique, with gold foil embedded to enhance the richness of the material. Thick sculpted glass to the exterior produces a modernist form which beautifully catches light. It measures 2 1/4"H, 6"D and is in excellent condition.

Japanese Nippon Porcelain Potpourri Jar and top and inner cover, 1940's, 4 1/2" high, 4 3/4" widest, 2 3/8" diameter top cover, with six(6) open reticulated coin shape openings, various floral and birds design on yellow background. The condition is good.

Salad-size stoneware bowl from the Danish Hjorth factory, c 1920 to 30. Light grey glaze and Art Deco stylized floral decoration in blue to the exterior, the interior with a central ornament in blue, yellow and brown. Height "4½/ 11 cm, diameter "7½/ 19,5 cm. Impressed marks: L.Hjorth, deer mark, Denmark and Z 50 (model number?). Condition: wear to rim and some glaze blisters.

This unique figurine of a peasant boy carrying a sack, clearly demonstrates the artistic virtuosity of the Murano glass artists. It is highly unusual for a figurine to have hollow legs to support such tall statue. (We have only seen a similar figurine in Venice.) This Murano sculpture is superbly crafted and highly unusual in its clarity using only a subtle iridescence to accent the beauty of the Glass. This unique beauty stands 13" tall and is in excellent condition.

Iris & Herringbone was originally made by Jeannette Glass Company from 1928 to 32 during the depression. The pattern proved so popular that in the 1950's, they reissued it in the marigold iridescent color. Offered here is the 9 inch dinner plate in marigold in excellent condition. Hazel Atlas black Cloverleaf luncheon plate was produced between 1930-36. It is in excellent condition (only 1 available).

A hanging basket for flowers, by Kähler, Denmark, c 1920-1930. Slip glaze decoration typical of Kähler, with swirls in black, blue and brown over white, the glaze of a glossy, "watery" look. Three glazed holes for chains. Unmarked. Diameter "6½/ 16,5 cm, height "4/ 10,5 cm. Condition: chip and glaze wear to rim, some wear also to the green-glazed interior.

Cambridge made this silver overlay compote in the late 1930's. It is about 6" tall and in excellent condition.

This lovely amber centerpiece bowl is marked with a C in a triangle for the Cambridge Glass Company. The broad flared rim rises from a collar foot showing the fine, rich amber color throughout. It spans 12 3/4" across the broad rim and is 3 1/2" deep. This elegant piece is in excellent condition. I have other Cambridge and elegant glassware in my inventory... take a peek. Lovely covered dresser box attributed to Artisti Barovier, circa 1920s. In green with applied pink "pasta glass" details and a beautifully crafted purple and green bunch of grapes on the lid. The entire piece is lightly iridescent, making it glow and reflect in the light. This thin and light piece has a snap pontil, and is a rare piece of early Murano glass. Measures approximately 5" in diameter and 3.5" tall. Excellent condition.

This rare and early example of the superb pottery of Ingrid and Erich Triller (TOBO) measures 9 3/4" tall and is 4 1/5" in diameter. On the underside of the foot is painted Triller Tobo. The incredible glaze is a complex of browns and oranges. Excellent condition. There is a very minor glaze eruption (done in manufacture) on the inside of the upper rim, which does not detract at all from the beauty and importance of this great vase. (See photos).
