American needlework sampler I would date to about 1935-1950, hand embroidered in traditional style, silk thread on cotton, the imagery of a house and tree, the sweet message being "Here let us live Life at its Best/ Here my we find/ Comfort and Rest". This beautiful comport was made by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the piece was produced in the late 1920's. This is a set of 10 crystal glasses that were made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s. They are unmarked but the style and workmanship is similar to pieces from that area. They are 3 inches high and the mouth of the glass is 2 1/2 inches wide. They ring when tapped. We think they are cocktail glasses from the shape and size. Each glass is hand decorated with enamel paint with golfers in their traditional dress. The detail is fine. The glasses are trimmed with gold on the rim and foot...
