Very fine 1920's deep yellow guilloche enamel sterling silver 8 day clock. This lovely clock measures 4 3/4" high and is 3 1/2" at its widest point. Small blue, white, and green enamel flowers accent each corner. The clock face is a wheat color with gilded numbers, a gold color rim, and blue hands. A convex glass covers the face of the clock. This is a set of 10 crystal glasses that were made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s. They are unmarked but the style and workmanship is similar to pieces from that area. They are 3 inches high and the mouth of the glass is 2 1/2 inches wide. They ring when tapped. We think they are cocktail glasses from the shape and size. A Large Hammered Sterling Silver 1927 Golf Trophy from Sedlacek & Co. in Los Angeles. Blue enamel logo "A G C" with golf clubs. Engraved "Invitational Tournament 1927" and "Second Flight Winner." Measures about 9 1/4" across and 7" tall. Weighs about 37 ounces, this is not the silver weight, as the base is weighted. Impressive piece, being sold as-found, has dings to top edge, crimping and excess solder where bowl is attached to pedestal and scattered flaws. Nice period example.

When I looked up this Cobalt Stem made by the Huntington Tumbler Company, I didn't realize that they had two styles: "Ding" and "Dong" -- Really!! It's in the Hazel Weatherman's Book 2. We have three of these stems (Ding), all in mint condition. Who said that glass companies had no sense of humor?

Line 700 was produced by Consolidated Glass Company in 1929. Offered here is the #715 flared bowl in blue crystal. (The color is the glass itself, not a fired on finish.) The bowl measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition. As these are hand worked to shape the upper edge, there is a slight variation in size and shape among the 4 bowls I have available. Price is per bowl. Measuring 8.25 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches high, this gorgeous, Ohio-made, yellowware fruit bowl features fabulous, heavy blue sponging with gold gilt highlights along its decoratively embossed and scalloped rim.

A 10 inch tall Loetz cameo glass vase with a daisy design in dark topaz over a yellow background. The flattened bulbous vase is 5 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches deep. The vase is signed “C. A. Loetz’ with the “C. a.’ meaning “Compagnie anonyme” This signature was on cameo glass intended for export to the United States. The mark is shown as signature 108 on page 331 of ”Loetz Bohemian Glass 1880 - 1940" by Hatje Cantz.

The 1920's and 30's was the age of the cocktail party, and the jewelry was characterized by vivid colors and sparkling diamonds. Cuban influences helped guide art deco design toward strong rectilinear geometry. This diamond ring is classic art deco. It is almost a full inch long and .5 inches deep at its widest.
