Two stoneware tiles from the “Fritte” range, designed by Aldo Londi and produced by Bitossi in the 1950s for Illums Bolighus, famous design department store in Copenhagen. Large Art Deco ceramic sculpture by Charles Catteau (France, 1880-1966)for Boch Freres Keramis, circa 1925-1935, depicting an ice skating couple. In excellent condition. Small glaze skip on the shoulder of the woman (original to the piece). Signed with Boch Freres La Louviere circular printed mark and inscribed 1133 on the bottom. Also inscribed "BFK Ch. Catteau" underglaze on the base. Approximately 13" tall.
This porcelain box was produced in Hungary by Herend before World War II. It is 5 3/4 inches long, 3 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches high. The box is molded in the shape of a bunch of asparagus tied up with a pink ribbon. It is hand painted with nice detail.

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in Germany by Meissen in 1973. They measure 5 1/4 inches high and have a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. They have a rich cobalt blue ground. The reserves on the front of the vases are expertly hand painted. The sprays of brightly colored flowers are framed in elaborate gilded cartouches. There are other gilded features and trim. They have a graceful shape with pedestal bases and handles. It is lovely to find a matching pair...

This porcelain demitasse or mocha cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in 1929. The saucer measures 4 inches in diameter and the cup is 1 ½ inches high. The set has a bright marigold yellow ground. Heavy silver overlay in art deco style decorates both pieces. The design is linear and geometric at the same time. The size and shape are great for after dinner coffee.
