This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Royal Doulton in 1938. They measure 10 1/2 inches in diameter. They are made of fine bone china that is ivory in color. The entire front surface of the plate is decorated. They have elaborate gold borders with cartouches containing urns. The centers are hand painted with scenes of Italian landscapes and water views. They were painted by the renowned artist, P. Curnock. He used color beautifully in the skies and mountains...

This interesting vase has a notch in it making it look a little like Pac Man, but giving it a very distinct form. However, we believe that it was created in a studio by excellent ceramicists who decorated the vase with free flowing green and blue glazes. A large, heavy, ten-sided (Korean style) black glazed stoneware vase made by Trevor Corser who was the longest servimg member of the Leach pottery, St Ives, Cornwall. This item bears the seal mark of Leach pottery and also Trevor Corser's personal seal. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 28cm (11 inches) high. 2.8 kg (6lb 3oz).

Pretty porcelain vase handpainted in soft shades of blue and green over a gently shaded blue background. The porcelain is of the finest quality and the glaze is impeccable. The bottom is marked with the green stamp with the date mark for 1961. The bottom also has the artist’s lowercase initials “SY” and the pattern number “2679/295”.

This extraordinary and sensuous ceramic sculpture depicts a muscular young man embracing an exaggerated grape cluster. "Drunken Young Man", by Kai Nielsen for Bing & Gröndahl in Copenhagen. This sculpture was one of a series known as "Vinhosten" issued in 1912. Absolutely stunning and in mint condition. It measures 4½" (10.5cm). On the underside is incised KAI NIELSEN, 12, impressed is KOBENHAVN, B & G, the insignia of three houses. Impressed is 4024, 51C. Painted in black is Ø.775.

This fish sculpture by Gunnar Nylund for Rorstrand, mounted on a wood pedestal, has an exceptional glaze. It measures 6 1/2" (16.5cm) tall. Excellent condition.

English Copeland Spode porcelain blue Transferware Beaker, 4" high, 3 1/8" diameter-top rim, with farmers and herds of cow in front of Italian style Castle and ruins, and wide foliage border design on top rim inside and outside. No damage or restoration. Marked "Copeland and Spode", "Italian" "England" in transfer blue color on the bottom.

Description: Excellent color, long handle, Doric type columns, road imprinted with wheel marks terminating at a gate across the far end, arched leaves overhead, rolled in top with pulled pouring spout.

This is a rarely found object as part of Wilhelm Kåge's celebrated Argenta series produced for Gustavsberg. It measures 1 5/8" tall and is 1 7/8" in diameter. On the underside is painted in silver Argenta, the old Gustavsberg anchor insignia, Gustavsberg, 958. Impressed is the letter S. Excellent condition. There is crazing, which is normal for the glaze.

This is wonderful hand painted cottageware / cottage ware cream and sugar and teapot made by Price Brothers, Kensington, Staffordshire England. It is marked Ye Olde Cottage. The shape is thatched cottage with flowers and vines.

The teapot is 5.5" x 4/5" x 5.75" tall.

The sugar with lid is 4.5" tall x 3.5" square.

The creamer is 2.75" tall x 3" square

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory or KPM in 1925. The date letter indicates this year. The plate has a diameter of 9 ¾”. It has a finely reticulated border, all outlined with gold. The center of the plate is hand painted with a scene of the 13th century fortress at Godesberg, Germany. It is painted in monochrome shades of red rust color. There is a garland of roses encircling the border with gold leaves and stems...

A lovely signed "Hand Made in Greece Ikaros Pottery B420" with a small 4 at the bottom. In excellent condition though the rim has a slight imperfection original to the piece that is not noticeable except to the touch. The piece measures 8" (h) x 7" (w). The Ikaros factory was located in Rhodes,Greece and ceased production in 1988.

These four Minton Gold Ancestral dessert plates (#S 595) are quite handsome indeed. Each are marked on the back and also each has the Minton imprint. The brown-red transfer decoration of flowers and leaves is painted with turquoise and pink enamel to accent the flowers. Each plate is trimmed in gold and is in excellent condition. Decoration of vigorously painted flower sprigs in green over White, 1950's. Diameter of plates "6¾/ 17,5 cm, width of centerpiece "10¾/ 28 cm. Condition: a glaze flake to the edge of the knob, otherwise fine.

This porcelain and metal dresser box was produced in France by Tharaud Limoges before 1930. It has a double mark which signifies that the porcelain and the decoration were done in the factory. The box has a gilded metal frame and foot. We don't know what the metal is. It measures 5 1/4 inches across and 3 1/2 inches high. The decoration on the lid is bold and striking in the art deco manner. The stylized flowers and abstract lines melt and flow into each other. You can feel the enamel layer...

Faience pitcher by Aegitna in Vallauris, France. Aegitna or Saltamacchia was one of the first ceramic workshops established in the village of Vallauris near Cannes and the Mediterranean. Large and impressive French Art Deco vase by Robert Lallemant (1902-1954), circa 1928-1930. Almost black iridescent glaze. Fully signed: "T.R.Lallemant" and inscribed "France". 14 3/4" tall. In excellent condition. Robert Lallemant was an important French ceramicist of the period, as well as a furniture designer (he created furniture for the UAM--Union des Artistes Modernes) and all around designer and photographer.
