This set of 10 porcelain soup cups and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1925. The date ciphers on the bottom indicate that year. They were made especially for the retailer Marshall Field of Chicago. All of the pieces are artist signed by renowned Worcester painters. Two of them are E. Phillips and A. Freeman. Exquisite cup & saucer with a handpainted scene of a lady relaxing in a pastoral setting being serenaded by a cherub playing a mandolin. It is marked Cauldon Ltd. England, and signed Wagner. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The gold is also in perfect condition, with no wear at all. This set has the gold band on the bottom, which I believe signifies that it was a special order.
