These four Minton Gold Ancestral dessert plates (#S 595) are quite handsome indeed. Each are marked on the back and also each has the Minton imprint. The brown-red transfer decoration of flowers and leaves is painted with turquoise and pink enamel to accent the flowers. Each plate is trimmed in gold and is in excellent condition. This is a wonderful hand painted cottageware /cottage ware biscuit jar, biscuit barrel or cookie jar made by Price Brothers, Kensington, Staffordshire England. This item is from the 1940s and is marked Ye Olde Cottage. The shape is a thatched cottage with it's original rattan handle. It is 7" tall without the handle x 5" deep x 6" wide. Exquisite cup & saucer with a handpainted scene of a lady relaxing in a pastoral setting being serenaded by a cherub playing a mandolin. It is marked Cauldon Ltd. England, and signed Wagner. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The gold is also in perfect condition, with no wear at all. This set has the gold band on the bottom, which I believe signifies that it was a special order.

A creamware dinner plate with shaped edge, elaborate painted lattice border on the rim and good “Chinese scene” decoration to the body of the plate.
