This ceramic wall plaque was produced in France at the Manufacture Nationale de Sevres in 1928. The artist is Adrian August Leduc. His painted signature is on the back of the plaque as well as an impressed mark. It measures 11 ¼ inches in diameter and is 1 ½ inches deep. The design is abstract and high relief. Large and impressive French Art Deco vase by Robert Lallemant (1902-1954), circa 1928-1930. Almost black iridescent glaze. Fully signed: "T.R.Lallemant" and inscribed "France". 14 3/4" tall. Robert Lallemant was an important French ceramicist of the period, as well as a furniture designer (he created furniture for the UAM--Union des Artistes Modernes) and all around designer and photographer.

Original hand thrown and hand enameled vase by Gilbert Portanier (France, born 1926). This vase measures roughly 7", with a diameter at the base of 5". It is signed with Portanier's distinctive monogram near the base. In excellent condition except for a glaze chip near the mouth of the vase. Portanier is one of the most important ceramic artists in the second half of the twentieth century in France.

This porcelain and metal dresser box was produced in France by Tharaud Limoges before 1930. It has a double mark which signifies that the porcelain and the decoration were done in the factory. The box has a gilded metal frame and foot. We don't know what the metal is. It measures 5 1/4 inches across and 3 1/2 inches high. This porcelain vase was produced in France by Thauraud Limoges in the 1920s. It is 6 inches tall and is 6 inches in diameter. The porcelain has a molded pattern in the porcelain, giving it texture. The ground color blends from cobalt blue to light blue. There is a floral decoration, accented with gilding, which follows the molded design. It gives the vase a pate sur pate feel. Mosaic pottery tazza and vase from the 1940s or 50s, by Gerbino, France. The handling and modelling of clays in various colors necessary for the creation of this kind of art objects was a complicated procedure, mastered only by Jean Gerbino and his family in Vallauris, the French studio pottery center of the period. Impressed marks Gerbino and Vallauris. Height of tazza "3 ½ / 9 cm and of the vase "5 ½ / 14 cm, diameter of tazza "6/ 15 cm. Condition: fine.

French Majolica plate by Cerenne, Vallauris, 1950's. Relief moulded and brightly painted decoration of sea food, the animals forming reserves for six oysters. Charles René Roger Neveux ("Cerenne" = CRN) was the leader of one of the most popular ceramic studios in Vallauris. Diameter "10/ 25,5 cm. Condition: a few minimal chips and a small restoration to the rim as seen on photo.

Blowpipes have been used for hunting in some parts of the world, and in Western Flanders blowpipe with darts or arrows was a popular sport for about a hundred years, starting at the beginning of the 19th century. Decoration in bright enamels of a gardener with his tools and flower pots.The back with impressed Vallauris mark and painted MC (painters signature) and Cerenne Vallauris. Cerenne (=CRN) was the signature used by one of the largest ceramic workshops in Vallauris, led by Charles René Roger Neveux. Diameter "8¾/ 22,5 cm.
