This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1930. It has a diameter of 10 inches. The plate has a scalloped rim and a deep well. The decoration is hand painted in a realistic manner with vibrant colors. The rim is trimmed with heavy gilding. This is a first quality plate in excellent condition.

Late 1960s early 1970s ELC marked "Roke's Drift" red and blue glazed Zulu plate with a raku tupe glaze , the body seems to have some animal hair mixed in the clay body. This is a set of nine 20th Century Dresden flower rimmed soup bowls, each handpainted with a different bouquet of Deutsche blumen within lovely shaped gilt rims, marked "Dresden" under an 8-pointed star (the mid-century mark of Adolf Hamann). Excellent squat Rookwood vase with raised decoration featuring large three-leaf clovers and flowers. The flowers, particularly, are molded in fairy high relief, so that the glaze is thinner over the tips of the petals, creating lovely shading. The glaze is shiny, but with an orange peel texture, and is colored a medium chocolate brown...

This old ceramic tray/plate is made for the Straits Chinese Community, it is of the typical pheonix design. It is an example of the nyonya ware, handpainted and used for serving tea. It is not in good condition as there are small cracks and hairlines on the four corner and lots of scratches all over the surface. Please ask for more photos....
