Whimsical Decanter by Fratelli Toso created circa 1960.

Decanter is of simple form with applied features resembling that of a sad dog, pleading coyly with upturned eyes. The clear green glass body has opaque lines running down from the top of the neck of the bottle to just below the top of the dogs ears and eyes. Charming vintage Murano glass dog in sommerso with gold collar attributed to Alfredo Barbini. This stylized expression of a dachshund has been well kept and is in excellent condition, as evidenced in the felt pads that protected the base from scratching over the years. The dog is 9" tall x 3.5"w x 5"d and is unmarked

Green and yellow bearded dog figural decanter, hollow with hole for cork. Seguso made these decanters for Luxardo in the 1960's. Length/height of the decanter is 12 inches (30cm). Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or repairs. Unsigned, but with Luxardo liqueur labels, import labels. Please note: there is some "debris" inside the bottle as I did not wash it out for fear of destroying the labels.

Whimsical modernist lamp which certainly looks like a Venini. The shade is lattimo with a transparent gold pink bow. The brass base is good minimalist modern design and adequately supports the shade. A fitted gasket facilitates a snug fit of the shade. Measuring 13"x15"x18"h., the lamp is unmarked

Sumptuous in its expression of the sensual qualities of glass, this stylized sculpture of a figure in repose by Livio Seguso is signed and in excellent condition. The solid glass sculpture weighs 12.5 lbs, measures 6"w x 6"d x 8"h, and was well protected over the years by four felt pads at the corners.

This stylized interpretation of a waterbird illustrates the inspiration that the environment of the Venetian Lagoon has provided for centuries of artists. The waterbird sculpture is done in sommerso, with wine red blending masterfully into light cobalt blue. I have seen this design attributed to both Archimede Seguso and Alfredo Barbini. The waterbird is in good condition, no chips at the feet, polished base, unmarked.

This Steuben fish has great character! It was introduced in 1961 and measures 6 7/8" long. It is Steuben number 8107.

A large,heavy, Indigo "Hooped" vase ( Whitefriars pat. no. 9680) designed by Geoffrey Baxter and produced by Whitefriars Glass in this colour in 1967 only. Modern floral expression using abstract floral murrines in a field of thin copper red vines and green opal leaves. This abstract imagery floats on a thick case of clear glass behind which is a gather of transparent copper blue glass with a heavy coating of aventurine. The thick clear layer gives the design an interesting depth. Measuring 2.5"dia. x 4.25"h, in excellent condition, unmarked.

This charming pair of sculpted boxer dogs by Archimede Seguso is in excellent condition and both retain Seguso labels. One of the labels is described in Leslie Pinas book, "Archimede Seguso", as the label applied to artistic designs. The large dog is 8" x 5" tall, and the puppy is 6"tall.

Exquisitely detailed clown sculpture in a variety of polychrome techniques with aventurine. There are remnants of a paper label. I'm not sure who made this, but my colleagues in Murano responded to the piece with a resounding "bello"! 9"h x3.5" x 3.5"

A Porcelain Handle Magnifying Glass with a Blue and White Floral Handle; 20th century, 8.5" long.

A superb example of modern glass design by Anzolo Fuga for AVEM. A very similar vessel is documented in Rosa Barovier Menstasi's book, ANZOLO FUGA, in the"Multicolor Rods and Murrine" section, page 61. This vessel has the same murrine and colored rod as pictured in the book, with a more slender neck that exudes elegance. This exceptional modern vessel is is 17.75" tall and is excellent condition.

Superb and very tall lamp by Ercole Barovier. It is in great condition! The hardware has an attractive patina commensurate with its age. The lamp is nicely complemented by the vase and bowl of the previous listings. Lamp measures 28" to the top of the glass and 44" to the top of the finial.

Fratelli Toso Rose Bowl constructed of Cattedrale (or Tiffany Window) murrines in reds, greens, yellows and blue. The murrines feature clear "windows" of glass.Some have "bullseye" configurations in the clear window and black (nerox) glass frames. This is a delightful 4 inch (10.2 cm) diameter bowl with a height of 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) due to the polished top. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Circa 1955.

Unusual basket form similar to Archimede Segusos' foglia designs. The form is colored a subtle gold pink with bullicante bubbles and ribs. This fine sculptural expression demonstrates the skill of the Murano glassblowers, measures 7"w x 6"d x 9"h, and is unmarked.
