Great sixties design! Saturnus vase in amber brown sommerso cased in crystal, flat polished top with slightly flared folded rim. Stands 5 5/8 inches (14.3 cm) tall and is approximately 4 inches (10.2 cm) in diameter. No chips, cracks or repairs. Signed. Circa 1962

This art object by Tapio Wirkkala for IIttala, number 3572, was in production from 1954 to 1957. This piece was produced in 1957. It measures 3 3/8" (10cm) tall and is 3" (8cm) in diameter. On the underside is etched TAPIO WIRKKALA IITTALA 3572-57. Mint condition.

This lovely vase by Tapio Wirkkala, part of his Kantarelli series, measures 4 1/2" high and is 1 3/8" in diameter at the base. On the underside is etched TAPIO WIRKKALA IITTALA - 55. Excellent condition.

A 7 ½ inch tall Moser goblet, cranberry to clear with faceted stem and hexagonal foot. The hexagonal foot is gold enameled with srollwork which is matched in facets on the cup. The cranberry upper half of the cup is decorated with small curlicues and six cartouches of two different alternating shapes. The smaller vertical cartouches display pink roses and blue flowers with yellow centers. The larger reserves have pink and white flowers along with decorative scrollwork...

This tumbler vase is part of the Martele Line produced by Consolidated Glass Company during the 1920's. The pattern is called 'Katydid', though it's usually referred to as the 'grasshopper' vase. 8 inches tall, the color of the glass is blue crystal. (The color is in the glass, not a wash applied over clear glass.) Excellent condition and very hard to find in this color.

Fostoria made these lustres from 1930-40. A simple 4.5" base rising to an 8.5" stick with attached bobeche cascading with hanging crystals. This pair are in excellent condition, the tips of the crystals are best described as weathered, not sharp but obviously dulled by time. The sticks are yellow with permanently attached bobeche. Pattern #2436 is are considered RARE.

Stippled Band was the first toy dish pattern produced by Akro Agate. The transparent topaz color pictured here was only made in 1935-6 and is very difficult to find. This 16 piece set is the Small size Stippled Band and includes the teapot and lid, 4 plates, 4 cups & saucers, sugar & creamer. There is a flake off the underside of the teapot lid, all the rest of the pieces are in very good condition. See my other listings for more Akro Agate Child sets.

Four-lobed, melon shaped decanter with sterling silver mounts at the neck and stopper. The decanter stands 10.25 inches (26 cm) tall with the stopper in place, and is 8 inches (20 cm) with the stopper removed. The neck of the bottle is sterling (not overlay), and is marked CCH DENMARK 925S 228. The flat, circular stopper is approximately 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) in diameter and 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) long including the sterling mount, which is also marked CCH 925S...

This is a really great custard colored glass Laurel, with red trim, 14 piece Childs Hostess dish set made by McKee Glass Company from Jeannette, PA. This Hostess set is in the original display box. This dish set includes four 5 7/8 inch plates, four 4 1/4 inch saucers, four 2 3/4 inch diameter tea cups, a 2 1/2 inch high creamer and a 2 1/2 inch high two-handled sugar bowl. The original box measures 14 long X 11 1/2 wide X 4 1/2 inches high...

Decanter in pink alabastro with squared body, cylindrical neck, and a ball stopper. Stopper is white and pink alabastro; neither stopper nor decanter neck are ground. Pink Alabastro covered jar is cylindrical with a matching lid. A beautiful blue glass bull figurine (with white latimo glass horns), designed by either Napoleone Martinuzzi, or, designed in his style. The figurine is 11 inches (28 cm) long and 7 inches (17,8 cm) high. There is a chip on the figurines tail and a chip to its bottom application (please see 4th and 5th pictures) - otherwise, it is in good condition. There are lots of bubbles in the glass and some red stripes in the glass...

Sculpted mid century bowl in sommerso with murrines, cane, and gold foil. The sommerso transition from the plum colored rim to the lattimo exterior allows considerable visual depth to the murrine arrangement. There is a small chip at the base that does not impact the integrity of the piece. 9"dia. x 2.5"h, unmarked

It is notable that both front and back surfaces of this fine aquarium are ground flat and polished, providing a crisp view of the finely crafted fish. The polishing is a considerable amount of work not usually seen in most Murano glass aquariums. I'm not sure who made this, but the surface polishing, fine detail of the polychrome fish, and the inclusion of glass thread and real sand between the layers of glass clearly render this a unique creation...
