Skillfully sculpted in the late 1800's, this exquisite leaf compote is shrouded in a generous coating of gold aventurine. The leaf portion is very thin and masterfully executed freehand. The stem is hollow, and it and the foot are blown into a rib mold and are hot worked into a spiral pattern. At around age 120, the leaf compote is in perfect condition. Measuring 3.5"x6"x6.5"h., the piece is unmarked.

Description: basket has an applied blown handle. The base is round with bubble design.

Dimensions: 11" tall to the top of the handle, side spray of 14" with a depth of 6".

This large, brilliant, cut glass pitcher, measures 11" tall x 5 1/4" diameter on the bottom. I am not an expert on cut glass, but I know a good piece when I see it, and this is one of them. Although I cannot find a signature, I'm sure the pattern will be identifiable to an expert who knows their patterns. There are a couple of very minor flakes at the top, otherwise in perfect condition.

Referenced in "The Colors of Murano in the XIX Century" p.128, Item #89, this vessel is typical of designs by Pietro Bigaglia in the mid 1800's. The Glass has the five point pontil mark, indicative of early Venetian Glass, is 3" tall and in excellent condition.

OLD 1890’s Venetian SALVIATI SEA HORSE Art Glass Compote Base!!! The piece is the bottom half of a compote, but its extremely rare to find one anywhere! The last one I saw sold for over $5,000!!! Even though the piece I have is the bottom part, I think it is an amazing example to have for any collector. The Seahorse has GOLD FLECKS throughout, with an applied harness with little pink dots. The Fins and tail are without damage...

The front half of the bootee is horizontally ribbed and has two small flowers below the opening,. The rest is covered with a small diamond pattern except for a strip of ribbing in the back. The sole is completely hollow. It is 4 1/8" long and 2 1/4" high. Circa 1900.

This beautiful hand painted Muhlhause vase is hand painted and enameled. The glass is an opaque soft white and the enameling design is floral. The colors are rich and the decoration is bright with gold trim to suggest naturalistic Art Nouveau themes of foliage, birds and flowers.

The top is a maroon-brown color. The diameter of the mouth is 3 1/2" and the base is 4 1/2"

This basked is American, circa 1880. It is white with blue ruffled trim, and has what appears to be mica is the glass. The handle is clear, and it is quite large, measuring 9 1/2" tall x 11" wide and 7 1/2" deep. It is in perfect original condition.

The body of the jar and lid are ribbed and have a lovely iridescence. The bottom of the base has multi-point pontil marks. It stands 6"high by 4" diameter. A similar fruit-topped lid is shown in Carol Osbourne's "Venetian Glass of the 1890s: Salviati at Stanford University" P. 126, Plate 137. The piece is in excellent condition.

The canary canoe is 8 1/4" long and 3" wide at the center.

This is a fine grayish lavender opaline vase. Circa 1900. It is 7 1/4" tall by 3 3/4" wide. The inside diameter of the mouth opening is 3" while the collar is only 1 3/4" in diameter.

Stevens & Williams Vaseline Opalescent Epergne stands 13" tall, made in the 1880's! The base is 8" wide. Has a couple of very small bubbles within the bowl. Otherwise, it has no chips or scratches. Offered is this beautiful, 'Osiris'-type art glass vase with applied handles, made most likely, by Stevens & Williams in England, around 1890. Probably the 'Pull-up' machine, invented by John Northwood (when he was Artistic Director at Stevens & Williams), was used for the zippered pattern on the vase. The vase is 9 inches (23 cm) tall and 5 inches wide. It is in good condition. The handles on the vase fluoresce in a gentle-green coloration, typical of 19th century soda-lime glass...

RARE Early Antique VENETIAN Art Glass FEATHERED Cup and Saucer or Demitasse Sets!!! An unsigned 10 ½ inch tall colorless decanter decorated with 6 reserves with gold enameled intaglio flowers. The balance of the decanter is beautifully enameled with with multicolored sprays of leaves and crosshatching in the manner of Lobmeyr. The original stopper has the same decoration as the bottle including small intaglio rondels. There is a small polished pontil mark on the foot. There is some wear to the gold enamel on the intaglio portions...

Beautiful cased vase by Pallme-Konig und Habel, showing their excellent use of the casing technique! The vase is four layers of glass; orange, white, clear, then the decorative layer of textured red glass. The vase was then covered with irregular applied trailed decoration in black, which has been worked into the surface. The entire surface has been strongly iridized. RARE Venetian Cased YELLOW, Red, Blue and White FENICI Art Glass 2 Handle Vase!!! Attributed to Fratelli TOSO, circa early 1900s if not earlier!!! This is a large piece at 8 1/4" tall (compared to the usual 3" pieces). Really bright colors with feathered design. Truly an amazing piece! For accuracy, it has 1 open bubble on the bottom foot, as well as impact marks and cracks to the glass around the foot, but NO missing pieces to it...

This charming millefiori Fratelli Toso Mosaica Vase has blue and green with white accents murrines arranged in alternating verticle rows, with 2 stretched cane handles and acid-matte finish. In "Fratelli Toso Italian Glass 1854-1980" author Leslie Pina dates these as made in the 1900-1910 time frame. P. 32-57. This vase stands 5" tall, 3" diameter. The piece is in perfect condition.

This "Three Fruits Medallion 9" spatula-footed unstippled carnival bowl, Meander back was made by Northwood. This pattern was obtained from the old Jefferson Company circa 1909.

RARE Early VENETIAN 3 Fish Decoration Art Glass SOFFIATI Vase!!! Believe it is a SALVIATI piece, from the early 1900s if not earlier!!! The fish are large ones, measuring about 5" long each. The vase itself is paneled, so even though it is rounded it gives the appearance it has sides to it. Personally i have never seen a similar piece, and neither have some of my Venetian collector friends...

This early American Pattern Glass toothpick holder was made by McKee in 1904. It is 3 5/8" tall and not hallmarked. This pattern is called Peek-A-Boo or Cherub because it has 2 naked babies holding up a barrel (8 panel)

Reference : Glass Toothpick Holders by Bredehoft and Samford 2nd edition, page 128.- The newer ones made after 1940 have a cupped and stippled base.

Spa Glass - This vintage spa glass is painted with a scene, and has the words "Bad Ruszanda-furdo on it, and measurements on the side. It measures 4" tall x 2 3/4" wide x 1 1/4" deep and is in perfect condition

This hand painted English Bristol glass vase with great colors is late 19th century. It is 9 3/8" tall x 5 1/2" wide. The inside mouth diameter is 3 1/4". There are no chips, no cracks, and no repairs to this item. This item is in excellent condition.

This Northwood grape and cable 9" ruffled bowl can be identified as a varian because of the tendrils that sneak into the otherwise plain center. The shape of the grape bunces is quite different. It has a collar base and basketweave exterior.

A Moser footed master salt with tooled and gilded rim. The colorless salt has a polished pontil mark and is 3.25 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. The salt is decorated with heavy gold enameling. There is wear to the gold on the edge of the foot and on the tooled rim.

One of Fenton earliest molds, Waterlillies and Cattails with a marigold carnival finish on clear glass. Produced in 1908. Tumblers are 4" tall. Two are available and are in mint condition.

These glass tear catchers or weeping bottles were for saving tears of grief. Such blown glass receptacles were placed on dressing tables, and on the first anniversary of the death, the tears were poured over the grave. This bottle is 7 3/8" long by 9/16" in diameter...
