Superb and extremely rare silverplated cocktail shaker in the "Ile de France" pattern by Meriden Britannia Plate Co. This is one of the most desirable of the high style Art Deco shakers. The ocean liner "Ile de France" was launched in 1926--not as the largest ship afloat, but intentionally as the most elegant ship in the world. This hand hammered sterling silver bowl was designed & signed c. 1940's by Taxco Mexico artist William Spratling. The interior of the bowl measures 6 1/2" across & 2 1/2 inches deep. Bowl weight is 652 grams or 23 oz. Each of the 3 handles are accented with 2 raised silver domes. Beautiful condition. Excellent accent piece for any room. This design is included in the superb & permanent 20th century Mexican silver collection at LACMA.

A pair of Mappin & Webb sterling silver three light candleabra hallmarked Sheffield England 1931. These gorgeous Rococo style table lights stand 9" tall. They have their original detachable bobeches, and both have the Sheffield 1931 hallmarks. This pair is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a 1/2" scrape on one arm on one candle (barely noticeable).
