WMF Ikora patinated metal dish or bowl, Germany c 1930. The surface iridescent in yellow-green and black, in the center a stylized ribbon or flower or an abstract Art Déco motif. Small paper label to the back D11 and the impressed Ikora and WMF factory mark for the German Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik. Diameter "10 / 25 cm. Condition: a wire for hanging fixed by soldering.

From Touron, one of the most well-established Parisian silver manufacturer (from 1824). Stamped Kendall-Touron, French assay mark: boar’s head and maker’s mark L&R. Height "1/ 2,5 cm. Pre Assay piano hinge silver pill or stamp box stamped and marked: Silver Made in Mexico. Applied ethnographic feather like design and a bezel set 7mm amethyst cab. 21 grams and could be higher than sterling. 1 1/8" X 1 3/4". While it has a nice vintage outer patina, the inside is very "white", as if when rec'd it was put away for decades and the inside never saw the light of day...

Wide and round bowl mounted to shaft with understated Classical ornament: Urn with bold and stylized leaf-and-dart ornament on sides, in turn mounted to baluster with half fluting; wavy borders. Extremely detailed pair of bronze statues of guardians to the Buddha called Niō or Kongōrikishi. While Buddhism usually promotes pacifism, the Nio guardians are said to have justified the use of physical confrontation to fight back against evil. Nio are typically placed on either side of a temple door. One statue, named Misshaku Kongo or Agyo, has an open mouth to represent the first sound in the Sanskrit language "a", symbolizing birth and overt violence...

Hand hammered, hand made sterling and ebony very large leaf tray by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1950. Designed like a long leaf with an ebony handle, it measures 23" LONG by 4 3/4" wide. This beautiful sterling silver case was originally meant for cigarettes but could just as easily hold business cards or ???. It is lavishly engraved with an all-over swirling pattern and bears the initials FC in script. The case is 3 1/4" x 2 3/4". It is hallmarked for Birmingham, England, sterling silver, and 1927-28. The maker's mark is FHA & Co.
