A terrific Art Deco spun aluminum ice bucket for chilling wine and champagne. The front is decorated with a copper plaque depicting the label of a very well-known French winery in Alsace. The winery is famous for its Riesling, but also for Crémant, a sparkling wine native to Alsace. Alsatian wines are traditionally bottled in tall, narrow bottles, hence the shape of this bucket. An elegant sterling silver rollover jigger in Tiffany & Co.’s highly desirable 1961 “Bamboo” pattern. The jigger is designed so the stems on either side of the bowl rest on the rim of cocktail shaker or glass. Once filled, the jigger can simply be tipped sideways, allowing the liquid to drop into the vessel without spills. The handle is marked “Tiffany & Co. Sterling”.

An Arthur Stone Handmade Sterling Silver Large Pointed Serving Fork, Executed by George Erickson Arts & Craft Silversmith who worked at Stone Associates during 1915-1932, and then went off on his own. Dimensions; 9" long x 3.5" length for the tines- weight 3.2 Troy ounces. Excellent condition and no monograms.

Three metal martini glasses stamped on the bottom "MADE IN/HSIANG YUN CO./HANKOW." Hankow (Hankou) is part of the present day city of Wuhan. In the early 20th century the city contained five foreign concessions.

Possibly paktong or another base metal with a resemblance to silver, though it is considerably harder. 4 ¾ inches (12 cm) tall.

Condition: Made in two parts, one glass is slightly loose where the stem meets the bowl. Another has a low spot at the seam in the bowl...

A lovely set of mid-century enameled sterling silver coffee spoons by Henry Clifford Davis. Davis focused mostly on smaller objects, often enhanced with enamel. The spoons have unusual melon-ribbed bowls and elegant translucent guilloche enamel handles with an engraved Greek key-type design. Each is fully stamped with Davis' hallmarks and the date letter for 1950...

A classic figural sterling silver thimble jigger, the rim ornately engraved “Only A Thimble Full.” The workmanship is very good and the engraving among the nicest we’ve seen. Marked only “Sterling,” it was likely made by either Thomae or Webster.

Very fine pair of George VI sterling silver master salt dishes. The salts are raised on paw feet surmounted by lion masks. The everted rims are gadrooned. The salts retain the original cobalt blue glass liners. The salts are identical, but were made in different years by the same silversmith. One has the date mark for 1936 and the other for 1939. The only difference is that glass liner in one is a little thicker than the other.

A handsome mid-century sterling silver gavel-style double jigger with a turned ebony handle. Gavel jiggers are usually in a more traditional style, but the plain lines of the silver and relatively simple handle give this example a nice mid-century modernist feel. The jigger is marked by Boardman, a silversmith who sold under their own mark and also manufactured barware for Cartier's New York store.

A Birks sterling silver footed round salver or serving tray with the Birks year mark for 1955. This quality 7-1/8" across vintage tray is stamped BIRKS STERLING 106/0. The salver sits slightly raised on feet. It weighs 167 grams, and it is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some surface spotting and a small dent (the spots can be buffed out)...

Circa 1960's-70's, this Matl jeweled cross produced by Ricardo sits on a pedestal and is a hand-wrought work of art. Ricardo Salas worked with his aunt, Matilde Poulat. After her death in 1960 he continued producing her designs, as well as his own. After 1980, Matl Salas pieces were also marked with MS-12. This cross pre-dates that mark. Large sterling silver berry spoon in Kirk's wonderful "Repousse" pattern. Certainly the most famous of all silver patterns to emerge from Baltimore, "Repousse" is filled with flowers such as roses, daisies and forget-me-nots. The bowl of the spoon is decorated with mixed fruit including strawberries, apples, grapes and raspberries. The back is marked "S. Kirk & Son Sterling", the mark used between 1927 and 1961.

German Silver salt & pepper shakers and place card holders. Circa 1890, these pheasants have several hallmarks, among them "800" and "Germany". Fully three-dimensional and detailed all the way around. Both of the heads can be removed to fill with salt and pepper. There is a slit in both of them to place a card. Both of the bases measure 3" long and 2 1/8" wide. One is 3.5" tall and the other is 3" tall. The overall weight of the pair is 160.1 grams.

Simple and beautiful silver beaker or small vase with flaring rim and a neat “pearl” border at the base. Made by Van Kempen, Begeer & Vos (1919-60), purveyors to the Dutch Court. Marks: KBV, Dutch silver marks for 835 and year mark for 1921. Height "3¼/ 8 cm. Condition: small dent 2 centimeters from the base (cf photo).
