Unusual sterling silver bird, an eagle or phoenix, from Taxco, Mexico. A Siam style budha cast bronze head made at Bien Hoa professional School in Vietnam circa 1930. Nice reproduction and beautiful patina. The Bien Hoa school was created in 1906 by French administrators who, seeing Vietnamese art and culture disappear during colonization, wanted to safeguard this important Vietnamese artistic heritage. The school was therefore created, it housed hundreds of Annamese students who became sculptors, painters, ceramists, cabinetmakers etc.....

Nursery rhyme-themed sterling silver porringer. Made by Tiffany in New York. Round and curved. Handle solid and curvilinear with goose neck mounts. On handle is low-relief depiction of Old King Cole, who has "called for his pipe and called for his bowl." A dense olden-days scene with no room for the "fiddlers three." A Large Hammered Sterling Silver 1927 Golf Trophy from Sedlacek & Co. in Los Angeles. Blue enamel logo "A G C" with golf clubs. Engraved "Invitational Tournament 1927" and "Second Flight Winner." Measures about 9 1/4" across and 7" tall. Weighs about 37 ounces, this is not the silver weight, as the base is weighted. Impressive piece, being sold as-found, has dings to top edge, crimping and excess solder where bowl is attached to pedestal and scattered flaws. Nice period example.

An elegant set of six gilt sterling silver mint julep spoons, the bowls decorated in the form of a pair of overlapping mint leaves. The stems are hollow, so they can be used as sippers, too. The spoons can also be used for iced tea. The gilding is a beautiful, rich shade of gold. The spoons are marked “Tiffany & Co. Sterling”.

A rare sterling silver bar spoon/cocktail muddler in the "Aztec" pattern by Hector Aguilar. This very handsome design was one of Aguilar's most icon creations. The long spoon can be used to stir cocktails and is heavy enough to be used as a muddler, as well. The reverse is stamped with the mark used by Aguilar from 1955 until 1962.

A fine silver tastevin inset with a 1772 silver 8 reales coin from the reign of Carlos III. The deeply-curved sides of the tastevin are decorated in a characteristically Spanish baroque style with ornate chasing and engraving. The handle is in the form of a curled dragon-like creature.

All sterling silver pastry server in Georg Jensen's 1927 "Viking" pattern (called "Nordisk" in Danish). This is one of the very rarest of all the Jensen patterns, and was designed by Jensen himself. It is beautifully crafted of the heaviest silver and combines traditional Scandinavian motifs with an Art Deco eye for design. The reverse is marked with the old interlocked "GJ" mark. This pattern has been out of production for many years, and it is extremely hard to find.

Two sets of English Art Deco sterling silver cocktail picks, the finials in the form of brightly enameled roosters. Each pick has unusual double tines that firmly hold olives, cherries, etc., and a hook on the back side that can rest on the edge of tall glass to keep them from sinking to the bottom. A beautiful set of six sterling pastry or cake forks designed by Bernard Cuzner for Liberty & Co. in 1923. The handles are elegantly enhanced with blue and green champleve enamel in a sort of peacock feather design. Cuzner was Liberty’s most influential silver designer in the 1920s. This set is fully hallmarked by Liberty and has the date mark for 1928. They are presented in their original silk-lined fitted case.

A vintage mid century modernist dish by William Spratling with four Rosewood feet.

Measures 1 1/8" high and 3 5/8" across. Marked with the conjoined Script 'WS' and Eagle #63. These were the marks used between 1965-67. In good condition, has some tarnish and very minor dings to the body that can mostly be seen from the underside. There are some minor crimps to some of the edges. The wood feet are in very nice condition.
