An Austrian bronze bottle stopper by Walter Bosse and Herta Baller, Vienna, c 1950. Modeled as a happy and sleepy drunkard, bottle in hand, leaning onto a sagging lamp post. Cork stopper still in place, stamped inscription: Henkes Delfshaven Holland. Henkes was a Dutch gin/genever producer. Height including cork "3¾/ 9,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Fine Donald Deskey for Ward Bennett Andirons. Iron and brass measuring about 15 /2" tall, 7 1/2" wide, and 17 1/2" deep. Great mid-century modern design.

A heavy pewter jigger in the form of a shotgun shell by Conoy’s of London. The side is marked off in increments, and the head and rim and finished in brass. The side is engraved “Big Shot.” Conoy’s started as a luxury pipe maker and eventually expanded their range to include canes, flasks, and other gentlemen’s accessories.

Delightful sterling silver ostrich sculpture from Taxco, Mexico. Designed and produced in the early 1950's, it is fully hallmarked. The intricately detailed head, neck, feathers, legs and feet are attached to the body which is a hard stone egg. In excellent condition, this rare find stands tall measuring 5" high by 5.75" head to tail.

Designed by Spratling c. 1950's, this martini pitcher & stirrer were hand wrought in Taxco, Mexico. The pitcher stands 5 1/2" tall & weighs 400 grams. The stirrer/spoon is 10" long. Both are in excellent condition. Both the spoon and pitcher are signed on the reverse. The pitcher is pictured on p. 258 of MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill & Carole Berk. A fine silver tastevin inset with a 1772 silver 8 reales coin from the reign of Carlos III. The deeply-curved sides of the tastevin are decorated in a characteristically Spanish baroque style with ornate chasing and engraving. The handle is in the form of a curled dragon-like creature.

An elegant set of six gilt sterling silver mint julep spoons, the bowls decorated in the form of a pair of overlapping mint leaves. The stems are hollow, so they can be used as sippers, too.
