A vintage bronze Japanese Shishi or Fu Dog Okimono holding a spherical scrolling vine ball. Biting a decorative rope, its mouth is open to expel evil. Made in two parts, the sphere separates from the Shishi.

The Shishi is a mythical creature whose purpose to to protect Buddhism. Often seen at the entrance to Buddhist temples, it guards and protects believers of the faith.

Bronze plaque in form of large bowl shape decorated with an undersea motif, featuring fish, jelly fish, and seaweed, by the renowned Scandinavian artist Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997). A very nice Arts & Crafts bronze round tray with verdigris patina by Carl Sorensen. The surface is decorated in uneven concentric rings of darker and lighter green mottled patination, separated by thin bands of polished bronze. The outer edge is finished with a pair of cast handles in a pattern similar to Georg Jensen's "Blossom" design. Little is known about Sorensen other than that he worked in the Philadelphia area around 1900 and his pieces may have been retailed at Tiffany & Co...

A large well rendered bronze rhinosaurus of an African white rhino. This realistic rhino has heavily textured skin, wrinkles and folds at its neck and legs, and its tail is contoured around the back leg. In excellent condition, it measures 18.5" long, 8.25" high, 6.25" wide.

A fine bronze of the Greek god Hermes as a shepherd carrying a lamb. The young shepherd is walking barefoot, wearing an animal skin coat and cap, carrying a young lamb most likely wayward in its wanderings. The patina is verdi-gris and in very good to excellent condition although the back of the cap contains a small nick on the surface.
