An unusual three piece late 19th century silverplated carving set by Simpson, Hall and Miller. This set has silverplated handles in the form of deer antlers rather than real antlers; it consists of the 16-1/4" carving knife (blade marked SIMPSON, HALL, MILLER & CO. SHEAR STEEL. WALLINGFORD, CT.), the 14-3/8" smooth sided sharpening steel, and the 12-5/8" carving fork. This set is in near mint barely used original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

While eating a nut, a squirrel sits on branches alongside a napkin holder. It is not marked but can be found illustrated on page 74 of Figural Napkin Rings, Collector's Identification and Value Guide by Gottschalk & Whitson. Please consider the pictures part of the listing.

This Victorian grapes napkin ring is topped with a leaf draped over one side of a wine barrel which is elevated on a short pedestal. The base in the shape of a grape leaf is elevated by a low, recessed ring. It is hallmarked Standard Silver Col., Ltd, Number 733.

This "Charter Oak: Medium solid cold meat server fork (1906)by International Silver is hallmarked 8147 Rodgers. The monogram is "M". It is silver plate. It is 8 1/2" long.

An unmarked but Arts and Crafts period bud vase with a square and austere silver plated base and a hand blown and pulled square glass vase insert with a flared neck c1890-1900. This vase measures 7/8" across the base and it stands 6" high; it has all of the handcrafted style expected in the Arts and Crafts European style of this era. We were informed that it probably came from Scotland originally...

This hollow handle silver plate monogrammed luncheon / desert forks are 7 3/4" long. They have the monogram "F" barely visible. They show some signs of wear on on obverse. They are the 1847 Rogers Bros. This was made in 1904.

This crystal and silver plate condiment set was produced in England in the 1920s. The silver plated stand measures 7 1/4 inches high, 5 3/8 inches long and 4 1/4 inches wide. Superb and extremely rare silverplated cocktail shaker in the "Ile de France" pattern by Meriden Britannia Plate Co. This is one of the most desirable of the high style Art Deco shakers. The ocean liner "Ile de France" was launched in 1926--not as the largest ship afloat, but intentionally as the most elegant ship in the world. This shaker was intended to celebrate that achievement and took its streamlined design elements from the ship itself...
