Gorgeous set of 12 English sterling silver cocktail forks, the handles completely worked in basse-taille enamel. The enamel, in translucent shades of cornflower blue and turquoise, is elegantly accented with areas of exposed parcel-gilt silver. The sides of the silver handles bear full hallmarks for London, 1932 (the maker's mark is TS).

Being offered are a pair of circa 1967 sterling silver salt and pepper shakers by renowned silversmith Antonio Pineda of Taxco, Mexico. Shakers in a triangular design with pierced Star of David spouts and Star of David also applied in a stylistic motif on one shaker, Dimensions: salt and pepper 3 inches high x 1 3/8 inches wide trisngulsrly. Early vintage rosewood & sterling silver dish or ashtray designed & signed c. 1930's by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). The piece measures 3 1/4" across and 1 1/2" high. The hand carved octangular wood holder is inset with a hand hammered 980 sterling silver liner. Signed twice - WS TAXCO 980 on the silver, also WS TAXCO branded into the underside of the wood. Spratling always branded his wood furniture and objects. Beautiful condition...
