A traditional form enlivened by the figure of an octopus squatting in the center, its curled and tangled legs draped over the bowls. A graphic contrast between the scales and suckers of the octopus and the controlled and stylized ornament on the shells. Very original...

Ornate English sterling silver picture frame by Keyford Frames. Featuring a heart-shaped opening with with cherubs at each corner, the frame is hallmarked KFD. Backed in very dark purplish blue velvet, it stands 7.5" high at the highest point x 5.5" wide. The heart-shaped opening will hold a 4" wide x 5.5" high photo. A little wear to the velvet at the bottom, otherwise in excellent condition.

Elizabeth II sterling silver salver. Made by Harrison Fisher & Co. in Sheffield in 1974. Round with molded ogee rim and 3 cast volute scroll supports. Traditional Georgian from the 1970s. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Stylish and jokey sterling silver cabbage head sauce bowl and ladle. Made by Buccellati in Italy. Domed cover set in bowl, both comprising overlapping leaves with realistic veins and irregularities. Ladle has branch handle and leaf bowl. Clear glass liner. Ladle marked “Buccellati Italy Sterling”. Bowl has post-1967 mark (26 MI) with “Buccellati / Italy / Sterling” and “925 [in oval]”. Excellent condition.

Absolutely beautiful sterling charger with openwork and figural cupids playing musical instruments on a 2" border. There is a vermeil wash over both sides of the surface. It is sogned Howard & Co. sterling and measures 1" tall x 9 1/2" diameter and is in perfect condition.

Rare sterling silver ice tongs in Kirk’s popular “Old Maryland Plain” pattern. This pattern, designed in 1850, is one of the oldest patterns in Baltimore silver. Because it is so simple, it can appear both Colonial or contemporary, and works well with nearly any silver pattern. The tongs are marked with later 20th century Kirk hallmarks.

Origin: America, ca 1980. Condition: excellent, no monogram. Size: 6-1/4” long. Weight: 84.5 grams.

Colonial sterling silver ale pitcher. Made by Old Newbury Crafters in Newburyport, Mass. Curved bowl with reeded staves; c-scroll handle and sharp v-spout. For serving ye olde fermented refreshment. Fully marked including maker’s and craftsman’s (Fletcher S. Carter) stamps as well as phrase “Boston / Museum of Fine Arts / Reproduction”. Very good condition.

A vintage Georg Jensen hammered Sterling Silver ladle, designed by Jensen himself in 1916. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval Sterling and Denmark.

Measures about 7 1/2" long, and 2 7/8" across the bowl. Weighs 81 Gr.

Fine condition, lightly hammered. Has a little tarnish and minor surface scratches.

Great hand wrought example.

Set of 10 Acorn sterling silver place card holders. Made by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen. Each: Double-sided stylized acorn mounted to rectangle, in turn, mounted to larger rectangle. Marks including maker’s stamp (1945-77), designer’s stamp (Johan Rohde), and no. 62. Very good condition.

This small, sterling silver container has a basket weave pattern and a nice patina. It stands 2 3/4" tall. The bottom is marked with the eagle assay with 3. It is also marked TAXCO MEXICO 925, in a circle with the maker's mark in the middle: looks like a stylized FS. It is in excellent condition. The diameter of the bottom is 1 3/4". The top's diameter is 2 1/8". it weighs 1 ounce.

Sterling silver gravy ladle in Kirk's 1937 "Rose" pattern. Fully decorated with a repousse floral design in the great Baltimore silver tradition, this piece would look lovely mixed with similar patterns such as Kirk "Repousse", Stieff "Rose", Schofield "Baltimore Rose", etc. The reverse is marked with Kirk's mark from the period 1927-1961. Excellent condition; no monogram or removal. 7-1/8" long.

Set of 12 American sterling silver mint juleps. Each: Straight and tapering sides, beeded rim and foot, and applied cast horse head. A great way to celebrate Derby Day with a dozen of your nearest and dearest. Marked “Sterling / Trees”. Benjamin Trees was active in Lexington, Kentucky from the mid-1930s to the mid-1960s.
