Handwrought servers with allover spot hammering; an applied flattened ball at the end terminal of the handles; hammered bowl and tines. A large sterling silver bowl from Atelier Borgila, Erik Fleming in Stockholm, Sweden. This was a 1941 Presentation Gift from General Motors Imports, inscription on bottom as shown. Measures about 5 1/2" tall, 7 1/2" across and weighs about 737 grams. Has decorative engraving on one side and a gold wash in the interior. Very good condition, does show a little wear and light scratches. In its original presentation box. Fine example of Scandinavian design from this workshop.

A vintage mid century modernist ashtray by William Spratling with three ball feet, rows of five applied disks on three sides, and three horizontal cradles.

Measures 2 1/4" high and 3 1/8" across. Marked with the conjoined 'WS', Taxco Mexico and 925. These were the marks used between 1933-40. In good condition, has some tarnish and very minor dings to the body and the feet. One of the disks on one row is slightly askew which adds to the hand made feel.

A terrific pair of Art Deco sterling silver tension-hinged sugar tongs or “nips” by W. & S. Sorensen. The twisted upper handles are decorated with gilt crown-shaped finials and the tong ends repeat the twisted pattern of the upper handles. The tongs could be used for sugar cubes, candies, or even olives. Hallmarked by Sorensen. The tongs are very well made and are quite heavy.

All sterling silver pastry server in Georg Jensen's 1927 "Viking" pattern (called "Nordisk" in Danish). This is one of the very rarest of all the Jensen patterns, and was designed by Jensen himself. It is beautifully crafted of the heaviest silver and combines traditional Scandinavian motifs with an Art Deco eye for design. The reverse is marked with the old interlocked "GJ" mark. A set of six sterling silver coffee spoons by Asprey & Co. Each spoon has a brownish-black bakelite “coffee bean”—a decorative device popular in England during the Art Deco period. Each spoon is fully hallmarked for Asprey, 1931. The spoons are presented in their original silk- and velvet-lined fitted box, the lid of which is imprinted “Asprey/166 Bond St/London”.

Origin: England, 1931. Condition: excellent, all original, no monograms. Size: 3-7/8” long. Weight: 43.0 grams.

An Art Deco sterling silver tea ball strainer with chain and ring for steeping loose tea leaves circa 1920s 1930. This vintage and classically simple tea serving piece includes the original chain which anchors the two halves of the ball together, and it has the original finger ring.
