Rare sterling silver ice tongs in Kirk’s popular “Old Maryland Plain” pattern. This pattern, designed in 1850, is one of the oldest patterns in Baltimore silver. This 5 3/4" souvenir spoon of Denver, Colorado depicts the State Capitol , one mile high, in the bowl. On the front handle there is the Brown Palace Hotel, U.S.Mint and the smelter. On the back handle there is General J. W. Denver, Indian camp, First log cabin in 1859 and panning for gold in Cherry Creek.
This spoon commemorates Tonie, Hattie, & Meta. On the obverse is the place "Berlin" and the front is the date 1892. The mark appears to be 800 silver. I do not know the other marks.This spoon is 5 3/4" long

Extremely rare sleek & elegant pair of hand wrought sterling silver candlesticks designed and signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist designer Antonio Pineda (1919-2009).
