Very fine pair of George VI sterling silver master salt dishes. The salts are raised on paw feet surmounted by lion masks. The everted rims are gadrooned. The salts retain the original cobalt blue glass liners. The salts are identical, but were made in different years by the same silversmith. One has the date mark for 1936 and the other for 1939. The only difference is that glass liner in one is a little thicker than the other.

Arts & crafts period copper dish by Gorham, c.1852-1865. It is signed: "GORHAM CO. Y126 (anchor in lozenge) and additional mark" and measures 9 1/2" by7 1/4" 1" high. It has a bronze color patina with some dark spots. There is a slight bend that can easily be straightened out on an edge. This Mangus Aase "Rose" cream or bouillon ladle is 6.5" long The bowl is 2 7/8" long by 1 1/2" wide. It is hallmarked K.W.830s Mangus Aase symbol NM. The NM is the generic mark which roughly translates as design copyright. The mark was used from 1876-1953.

Notice the hook on the reverse and that this ladle has a gold wash bowl. It is also hallmarked 18-7-1931.

A sterling silver vermouth dispenser in the form of a watering can. These were made by Boardman and retailed primarily at Cartier's flagship store in New York and by Tiffany. This particular example was retailed by Schroth's jewelers in Montville, NJ. When tipped, the dispenser lightly sprinkles just a drip of vermouth into the glass for the perfect martini. The bottom is marked “Sterling” and is signed “Schroth”.

Being offered is a superb circa 1968 sterling silver pitcher made by Tane Silversmiths (the Tiffany of Mexico) of Mexico City, Mexico. Heavy gauge pitcher decorated with embossed disc motifs on the stylized handle and circular base. Dimensions: 10 inches tall including handle (8 1/4 inches without handle) x 6 inches diameter. A rare silverplate cocktail recipe disk by Napier. The silverplate case holds a celluloid dial that can be rotated to show printed recipes for twenty classic cocktails. A jump bail allows the disk to be hung by a chain around a cocktail shaker or decanter. The rim is marked "Napier Pat. Pend." We've never seen this particular Napier design before.

Origin: America, ca. 1935. Condition: very good, very minor plating wear as is typical of Napier pieces. Dimensions: 2" diameter.
