From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a very striking and highly unusual vintage silk on cotton kilim style rug, Persia, executed in a bold multi-colored palette of red, gold, purple, blue, rust, green, brown, peach, pink, cream, turquoise and black. It's a legitimate reflex to assume this unusual kilim comes from somewhere in the Caucasus Region, but further research suggests that the lion and double eagles in the center panel are actually Persian motifs de guerre...

Old hand stitched Indian 'chakla' textile. Kathipa style embroidered in 'heer' floss silk on old cotton base. Undated, estimated to be early 20th century or earlier. 38 inches square. Good condition few missing mirrors. Can be viewed in central London and shipped worldwide.

Wonderful birds, stars, and flowers patterned coverlet of wool and cotton hand woven in two sections and signed "MADE BY D.SNYDER HANOVER TOWNSCHIP NOR T.CO 1840" and is signed on the four corners with fringed edges. The coverlet has birds on three side and flowers on one side. The colors are red, blue, and mustard on an off white background. From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a large and very fine Persian rug, hand-woven of wool and silk in a rich and elegant palette of deep red, dark and light blue, tan, mint green, pale orange, and cream.

Size and Condition: 10 feet and 4 inches long (124 inches), 7 feet and 8 inches wide (92 inches). There are some thread pulls and light general wear, but overall condition is excellent.

A stunning cotton satin pillow made from a luxurious vintage damask brocade fabric in the style of Fortuny, featuring an ornate repeating pattern of flora and fauna in striking colors of lemon/chartreuse and soft blue, tassel fringe, most likely Italian, circa 1940's. Excellent condition.

Beautiful red and white sunbonnet quilt, c.1930's. There are 18 sunbonnets girls and the quilt measures 68" by 90". The fabric seems to be a sort of rayon, perhaps, as it has a sheen. The all around red scalloped edging is 4 1/2" wide and the backing is all white. There are some light brown stains around on one of the sunbonnets(see photo). Otherwise, excellent condition. The central panel uses purple and red silks along with gold thread woven into elaborate floral and geometric designs, and the borders use blue and green silks along with gold thread as well.
