This set of 6 porcelain demitasse cups and saucers was produced in Finland by Arabia in the mid 20th century. The saucers have a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and the cups are 2 1/4 inches high. They are made of fine, hard paste porcelain. They are decorated with a combination of transfer design and hand enameled accents. The designs are very modern in style, perhaps from the 1960s. Here is a lovely small tray in an exquisite blue and brown glaze by Wilhelm Kage for Gustavsberg, Sweden. It measures 1 1/4" (3cm) high and is 5 1/2" (14cm) in diameter. On the understand Farsta is impressed on each of the four feet, Gustavsberg, Kage, the Gustavsberg Studio hand insignia, Studio, and the date code Y. This piece was created in 1954. The name Hjelmberg is also etched. Mint condition.

A nice Art Deco cocktail pick set formed as a dark red bakelite cherry atop a rosewood base holding six bright red bakelite cherry-finial picks. This Morgantown Adonis tumbler has a festive Meadow Green foot. The satin glass medallion shows a stylized face of Adonis from mythical lore. This porcelain and metal dresser box was produced in France by Tharaud Limoges before 1930. It has a double mark which signifies that the porcelain and the decoration were done in the factory. The box has a gilded metal frame and foot. We don't know what the metal is. It measures 5 1/4 inches across and 3 1/2 inches high. The decoration on the lid is bold and striking in the art deco manner. The stylized flowers and abstract lines melt and flow into each other...

This fabulous vintage Imperial Beaded Block yellow bowl shows a wide array of colors. The pattern shows rows of beaded lines defining blocks of stipple glass.The ruffled rim is scalloped and it sits on a collar foot with a large star on the bottom. This bowl dates to the 1930s and it only printed with "Made in USA" on the collar foot. It is 8 7/8" across the scalloped rim and 2 1/2" high. German Porcelain cobalt blue deep regular size of Saucer, possibly Rothenthal, 1950's, 5 1/2" diameter, 7/8" high, gold rim finish on top and bottom and also around the well area where cup is resting. Marked "S99" in underglaze blue on the bottom. The condition is good.

In Venice Italy, these Obelisks were recently included in Fondazione Cini's exhibition "Paolo Venini and His Furnace," and are documented in the exhibition catalogue, page 308, model 4300. Constructed of thick canes twisted into a zanfrico design, this is a fine example of utilizing the traditional Venetian technique of zanfrico in a modern expression. The Obelisk has the 2 acid stamps: venini murano, made in Italy, measures 8" tall, and is in good condition.

This 111 grams vintage unusual necklace strand is made up of rich amber color brown bakelite -rich yellow results when rubbed with 409 and with acetone- warm to touch tube ridged beads that look like 'horn handles' knotted with -cool to touch -12 mm Black hardstone beads resulting in 25" in length w old deco clasp and weighing 111 grams! This is a beautiful elegant glass ruby red Oscar water pitcher with eight (8) Oscar water tumblers made by New Martinsville glass in the 1950s. The pitcher measures 9 3/4 inches high to top of lip X approximately 6 inches in diameter. The tumblers each measure 4 1/2 inches high. This is a hard set to find, especially with eight tumblers in the set. The pitcher and all eight tumblers have the ridged design on the side and are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or cloudine...

This "Whitehall" punch bowl, cups, and ladle were made by Colony. The punch bowl is 13 1/4" in diameter. The punch cups are footed. I have only 11 punch cups. All of the items are in excellent condition. This was made circa 1964. It is a stacked cube design.

Here is a rare and important ariel vase by the master Edvin Ohrstrom for Orrefors. The zig zag design on a blood red background is spectacular. The vase, in excellent condition, measures 7 1/4" (18cm) tall. On the underside is incised Orrefors, Sweden, Edvin Ohrstrom, the date code Ariel 1055E.

A work of studio pottery, found in Southern California, the color a rich earthy brown, the vessel pierced intentionally by the artist to create naturalistic openings, similar to the distinctive style of Peter Voulkos (1924-2002). The piece measures 7 1/2" high by 5" diameter. The piece is signed on the bottom "Balvin 79". Surprisingly I do not see a studio potter by this name, but the artist was obviously talented and also familiar with Voulkos' acclaimed work.
