This is a really pretty green Block Optic depression glass 6 1/4 inches high Candy Dish with Cover made by Hocking Glass from 1929 to 1933. Art Deco sculptural vase: young “exotic” girl with a water jar, by Lore Friedrich Gronau for Karlsruhe, dark reddish-brown clay, partly glazed, a kind of faience. A Carder Steuben green jade and alabaster vase measuring 6 inches tall. The vase is shape 3285 and is unsigned. The raised foot is alabaster and the balance of the vase is green jade. The underside of the foot exhibits a broken pontil mark. There is no damage.

Three small dishes in a soft leaflike shape, in the white and very thinly glazed. From the Revernay pottery (founded in a village with that name around 1900 and moved to Vallauris in southern France after WWII). Many avantgarde ceramists who worked in modernist style – one of them being Picasso – gathered in Vallauris in the 50s and 60s. Width "3 / 7.5 cm. Condition: rim frits to one dish (cf. pics).

The piece as framed measures 16" by 14". The needlework is in exceptional fresh condition. I am uncertain as to the age of it; I think, younger than the frame. A timeless classic piece for the traditional home.

American needlework sampler I would date to about 1935-1950, hand embroidered in traditional style, silk thread on cotton, the imagery of a house and tree, the sweet message being "Here let us live Life at its Best/ Here my we find/ Comfort and Rest". No glass, good vintage condition, some faint old very light brownish staining to background.
