Fine strand of prewar WWII, glass Venetian trade beads from Africa, L: 58cm/23in. These are strung on a contemporary cotton green string with copper wire fastener. This porcelain group was produced in Denmark by Bing & Grondahl between 1948 and 1951. The model number is 1581. It measures 4 1/2 inches high and is 4 inches wide. The four monkeys are modeled with charming character. They are huddled together for warmth and support. The group is hand painted in earthy tones. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

The Manhattan pattern was produced by Hocking Glass Company from 1939 to 1941. Its clean, deco lines makes it very popular with today's collectors. Offered here is the center insert for the relish set in excellent condition. The center insert was only made in clear, even though the triangle side inserts come in crystal, ruby and pink. This very rare mug dates from the early period of production at the St. Ives pottery in the 1920s or early ’30s. In those years Leach was developing the designs for his later production and one can see in the body and the handle of this mug characteristics that became typical of the Standard Ware designs of the post-WWII period...

This porcelain figural group was produced in Denmark by Royal Copenhagen in 1946. It has the number 1228 incised on the bottom. It is 7 1/4 inches high, 6 1/4 inches long, and 3 inches wide at the base. The fellow riding the goat is taken from the Hans Christian Anderson stories. This piece is cold painted in lifelike enamel paint by hand. The colors are rich and vibrant. This is a first quality porcelain in excellent condition.
