This handwrought silver box was designed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1950's. The box measures 3 1/2" X 2 5/8" and is 1" high & weighs 178 grams. The lid is inlaid with panels of rich brown & yellow shell held in place by sterling silver rivets. The box is in beautiful condition & fully hallmarked. Like a Venice evening, this amazing murrine lamp rediates a soft, colorful ambiance when lit. The brass parts have a nice aged patina. The lamp had to be re-wired, as the original 90 year old vintage wire was frayed. Otherwise, the lamp remains in its original pristine condition and is an amazing example of the skill of the Murano Glassblowers. The lamp is documented in "Catalogo a stampa Fratelli Toso, 1920 ca",page 41.

Modern design vase with incisio carved surface ia a sommerso blend that transitions from cool green to a warm golden wheat color at the base. This is the first incisio I have seen in this shape; I suspect there are not many. This vessel displays nicely with the incisio candle holders item #086. This set of 10 porcelain soup cups and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1925. The date ciphers on the bottom indicate that year. A fine bronze of the Greek god Hermes as a shepherd carrying a lamb. The young shepherd is walking barefoot, wearing an animal skin coat and cap, carrying a young lamb most likely wayward in its wanderings. Superb and very tall lamp by Ercole Barovier. It is in great condition! The hardware has an attractive patina commensurate with its age. The lamp is nicely complemented by the vase and bowl of the previous listings. Lamp measures 28" to the top of the glass and 44" to the top of the finial.

Very large sculpture of a seagull in flight skimming over a wave on the ocean.

The Seagull is done in clear glass, with a hazy, white, layered internal decoration. The wave is a smoky clear glass. The two pieces are epoxied together, as is the case when two pieces had to be made separately, and annealed first, due to the design not being able to be joined when hot.

The piece measures 20 inches (51 cm) tall by 20 inches (51 cm) wide and is 8 inches (20 cm) deep.
