A White Ceramic Inkwell with Brass Mounting

A vintage sterling silver figural jigger by Gorham, the sides marked off with enameled stoplights in green, yellow and red. Each light corresponds to the 1, 2-1/2 and 3-1/2 ounce markings on the jigger’s bottom. The bottom is hallmarked by Gorham.

The Florentine pattern was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass Company from 1932 to 1935. It was made with scalloped edges or straight edges. Although Hazel Atlas didn't distinguish one from the other, collectors today call the scalloped edge 'Florentine 1' and the straight edge style 'Florentine 2'. The indented cracker plate measures 10 3/4 inches in diameter. The footed cheese comport measures 3 inches in diameter X 5 inches high. The comport sits on the large plate. Cuban influences helped guide art deco design toward strong rectilinear geometry. This diamond ring is classic art deco. It is almost a full inch long and .5 inches deep at its widest. The platinum band has engraving.
