Bengt Edenfalk vase for Skruf. This squat, rounded corner vase is from the 1950's Spun series where glass threads are wound around the exterior of the piece as decoration. Edenfalk was a designer for Skruf from 1953 to 1978, then Kosta from 1978 on, pieces from the Spun series were featured in a major exhibition at Corning Museum of Glass in 1959. Dancing Nymph is the correct name for this Consolidated pattern - it's sometimes called "Dance of the Nudes" due to listings in depression glass books under that name. Made in 1928, it's a wonderful pattern for the deco collector as well as glass lovers. This is the 5 1/2 inch goblet in crystal with the satin finish. Perfect condition.
