Mid-Century Mexican silver six-candle candelabra. Unique design and high-quality construction. Excellently hand wrought and very rare. It measures approximately 20.5" long and 9" tall. Each candle holder portion measures 2.75" in diameter, and the base is 6" in diameter.
The base is marked "ORTEGA" "925". It has also an Eagle 8 mark and a serial number of "39637". It is in impeccable condition and weighs approximately 4.6 lbs.
Czech Artist Joseph M. Kratina 1872-1953, a beautiful and historic George Washington Bicentennial Gilded Bronze Plaque measuring 22x17” dates 1732-1932
Mr Kratina, was born in Prague and studied at L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts, and the Académie Julian in Paris, after becoming a sculptor and also a teacher.
Three piece sterling silver and rosewood tea set by Tango Aceves circa 1950. The teapot measures approximately 6.75" tall and approximately 5" in diameter. The handle is 4" long. It weighs approximately 1.5 lbs. The tea cup is an elegantly simple round bowl measuring 3.5" in diameter by 1.75" deep. It weighs 103.3 grams. The creamer measures 3.5" in diameter with a .75" spout. The handle is 2.75" long. It weighs 148.4 grams.
A superb example of modern glass design by Anzolo Fuga for AVEM. A very similar vessel is documented in Rosa Barovier Menstasi's book, ANZOLO FUGA, in the"Multicolor Rods and Murrine" section, page 61. This vessel has the same murrine and colored rod as pictured in the book, with a more slender neck that exudes elegance. This exceptional modern vessel is is 17.75" tall and is excellent condition.

Superb Murano glass figurines by Alfredo Barbini. A colleague in Venice who is a dealer in Vintage Murano Glass told me he witnessed these figurines being made at the Barbini factory in the 1950's. They are in good condition: the red coated Moor at 10" tall is in pristine condition and the white suited one at 13.5" has a repair at the rear neck area which is not so apparent...
This attractive grouping of Murano glass vessels and lamp by Ercole Barovier should stay together and is available as a group at a reduced rate. If purchased as a group, the cost is $2300, realizing a saving of $1000 for the astute buyer. The Cordonato Oro design by Ercole Barovier was exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1950, and in 1951, at the Angelicum in Milan...
This handwrought silver box was designed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1950's. The box measures 3 1/2" X 2 5/8" and is 1" high & weighs 178 grams. The lid is inlaid with panels of rich brown & yellow shell held in place by sterling silver rivets. The box is in beautiful condition & fully hallmarked. Georgian-style sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1920. Baluster with leaf-capped double-scroll handle, v-lip spout, and round and stepped foot. Gadrooned rim. Traditional with nice heft. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. 81, and volume (4 1/2 pints). Very good condition.
