Made in the 1950's, master glass artist Gundersen created this cased vase using cranberry and custard glass. Many people will mistake it as "burmese" glass -- it is definitely a cased glass. Measures 3" high by 4.5" wide. It does have a pontil on the bottom. In mint condition.

This pretty pair of Peacock Blue Colonial Number 9922 2-Piece Hurricanes were made by Morgantown Glass Works. These Hurricanes each measure 9 inches high when together. An Italian 1950's whimsical bottle-shaped vase, Fantoni style. Covered with dark green leather leaving two reserves with enameled still life decoration of, to one side, fruit and to the other a group of vessels in modernist style, the interior blue-glazed. Antique porcelain vase of tapering baluster form. It features a gold gilded rim and is decorated in the Belleek style with fine, hand-painted colorful flowers against a yellow background. The vase is signed by artist Nellie, and there are some other markings as well. Unfortunately, the base of the vase does not have any marks. Initially, there might have been a manufacturing marking, but it has worn out over time. Therefore, we cannot identify which manufacturer made the vase...

An attractive, colorful frit paperweight showing a pair of hearts shot through with an arrow and surrounded by a laurel wreath and the word "Friendship," all against a bright mottled umbrella ground. The pontil is ground and frosted. The glass is nicely free of striae and bubbles. The quality of workmanship is quite good, and the weight is certainly the handiwork of one of the better West Virginia glass makers, possibly Gentile.

Collection of fourteen 50’s dishes, bowls and vases most of which were made in the miniature republic of San Marino, Italy. Some with lava glaze, others leather-clad and / or sgraffito. Width "3 ½ - 8 / 9 – 20 cm. Condition: fine.

In Marc Heiremans' book ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO this "a canne ritorte" design is documented on page 82. The execution and finish of this fazzoletto confirm the Murano Artisans' mastery of working with Glass and would be a fine addition to any serious collection of 20th Century Murano Glass. The pontil mark on the bottom has been carved out and polished, indicating careful attention to details. The piece measures 4 1/2"H x 6" D. Condition is perfect.
