Hand painted round Green Tole Tray, 15 1/2 diameter, 1" high, round Spinach deep Green color with hand painted floral decoration in the center and gilded design around the edges, crackling enamel work on the surface. The condition of enamel paint is good.

Offered is this beautiful old Pairpoint lamp. The lamp-shade is decorated with hand-painted garland of flowers. Overall, the lamp is 17 inches tall. The shade is 10 1/4 inches wide and 5 5/8 inches high. Overall, the lamp is in very good condition (mentioned for accuracy: there is the expected age-appropriate tarnishing of the metal, part of the plugging-socket is gone, though it is safe, and some rim-roughness that are typical of these old shades - see last picture)...

Individual salt and pepper set of Guilloche enamel over sterling silver having an open salt dish and a mushroom shaped pepper shaker. Made in Denmark by Ela. In excellent condition, they measure: Salt 2" diameter, .75" high; Pepper 1.5" diameter, 1.75" high.

These glass tear catchers or weeping bottles were for saving tears of grief. Such blown glass receptacles were placed on dressing tables, and on the first anniversary of the death, the tears were poured over the grave. This bottle is 7 3/8" long by 9/16" in diameter.

Moderntone was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass from 1934 - 42. Offered here is the 5 3/4 inch bread & butter plate in amethyst. (Hazel Atlas called this color 'burgundy' when it was originally made, but it's a rich amethyst color.) Excellent condition, I have 2 plates available. Price is per plate. Unusual basket form similar to Archimede Segusos' foglia designs. The form is colored a subtle gold pink with bullicante bubbles and ribs. This fine sculptural expression demonstrates the skill of the Murano glassblowers, measures 7"w x 6"d x 9"h, and is unmarked.

Beautiful Japanese studio vase, in the form of a Han Dynasty cocoon vase, in the Mingei style, mid 20th century. Very reminiscent of the work of Kawai Kanjiro. This vase is not signed, and it is missing its original box which would have made an attribution possible. 26cm by 19cm (roughly 9 3/4" by 7 1/2"). In beautiful condition.

Duncan and Miller Sylvan Pink Opalescent Swan, 12" was produced between 1935-45. This is the largest made and is in excellent condition.

Rare hand blown Bohemian style Murano Glass cobalt blue tea set with applied white enameled flowers in high relief, monogrammed saucers and footed cups. Custom made and purchased on Murano Island, Venice, Italy in the 1900's. Total of 22 pieces, 2 of which are lids, the set offers teapot with lid (8.25" high), sugar with lid (4.5" high), creamer (5.25" high), 5 large footed cups (3.75" high), 6 small footed cups (3" high), 6 saucers (5.5" diameter).

This color on this iris plate is sometimes called carnival. It is really iridescent.

Bead Chain fixtures were the standard ceiling fixture of the American home from the 1920’s through the 1940’s. The decorative glass shade hung from 3 bead chains, and could be adjusted up or down depending on the size of the room and height of the ceiling. The graceful Art Deco design of these fixtures makes them the perfect fit in today's homes.

All Wool hand woven Afghanistan room size large Carpet, Rug, 126" x 76" (10 1/2' x 6 1/2'), with beautiful design and and colors, purchased in Kazakhstan by US Aid Worker in early 1990, from home in DC area with very clean and good condition. Corners of Long Fringes are little loose.

Teapot, milk jug, cup and saucer, a solitaire service made by the Carl Knoll factory in Czech Carlsbad / Karlovy Vary. Cross-striped like the Victorian bathing-suits – just a coincidence or might there be a thought behind this design? Carlsbad was a fashionable 19th century spa, famous for its hot springs. Impressed mark for 1848 – 1868. Height of teapot "4 ½ / 11 cm including handle, diameter of saucer "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: a nick to the cup (cf. pics).

Modern carving pair with knife and fork. Made by Christofle in France, ca 1970. Tapering easy-grip silver-plated handles. Knife blade and 3-tine shank are stainless steel. Handy for the holidays and all the days in between. Marked. Good condition.

This stylized interpretation of a waterbird illustrates the inspiration that the environment of the Venetian Lagoon has provided for centuries of artists. The waterbird sculpture is done in sommerso, with wine red blending masterfully into light cobalt blue. I have seen this design attributed to both Archimede Seguso and Alfredo Barbini. The waterbird is in good condition, no chips at the feet, polished base, unmarked.

The cutest antique sterling silver demitasse spoons with enameled figural jockey atop of each. Made in England. In original box excellent condition.

The bowl of this sterling souvenir spoon features an embossed view of the Ferry Building. It was made by the Shephard Company of Melrose, Massachusetts circa 1892. This spoon is 5 1/8" long.

Large stylized murano glass figure of a kneeling Asian, rendered in two shades of smoky gray glass with amethyst undertones. The figure is made of simple forms, but the attention to detail is evident in the face and head of the figure. The figure stands 13.5 inches (34.2 cm) tall and is slightly over 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide and is 7.5 inches (19 cm) deep. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. Circa 1920sEichwald majolica centerpiece with a lion head on the base. Large and colorful, this blue bowl with a golden yellow interior is relief decorated on the exterior with small raspberry red flowers, light green tendrils, and paisley shaped pink medallions. Other colors are lavender, and golden brown. A fabulous statement piece. Marked" Eichwald" and "Czechoslovakia", it measures 15" high, 12ʺ long × 8.25ʺ wide.

Art Deco sterling silver and enamel box. Made by Harman Brothers in Birmingham in 1972. Rectangular with straight sides. Cover hinged and tabbed; top gently curved with rectangle (vacant) surrounded by purple guilloche enamel. Interior cedar lined. Laminate-lined bottom. Fully marked. Good condition with strong and intact color. A few pings to cover.

Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the 1174 fan vase - part of the Spanish Knobs variation - in emerald green. The vase is approximately 4 inches high and in perfect condition. Shino tea bowl with abstract gourd and ivy design by the representative modern Shino master Yano Keisen (1870-1965). Suitable for Autumn tea ceremony, finely painted ivy gives a beautiful sentiments and the gourds adds warmness onto this Shino bowl.
Fine condition with no chip, no cracks, expected kiln-cracks(kamakizu) are presented as a character of Shino-ware.

A fantastic figural sterling silver and stag horn graduated jigger, each cup in the form of a whisky barrel. The barrels are fully detailed with engraved staves, raised hoops, and bung holes. The jigger is finished with a polished stag horn handle in an amber shade. The portions are well-made with good weight and detail. The ferrule is marked "Sterling" and also has serial numbers and an indistinct maker's mark

A wonderful micro beaded figural purse from the 1st quarter of the 20th century. The scene shows two figures in 18th century clothing, the man serenading, with a mandolin, a woman seated in a chair in the garden. The same scene appears on both sides of the purse.

Complementing the multi-colored scene is a beautiful enameled and jeweled frame and a full four color fringe.

The condition of the purse, inside and out, is excellent, with no holes or tears. The clasp closes firmly and evenly...
