A Rare Pair of Sterling Silver Candlesticks from George Jensen, USA, designed by Alphonse LaPaglia. Dimensions; 5" high x 4" at the base; weight, 14.6 Troy ounces. Circa; 1941-1950. Excellent condition. Jensen USA was operated by Frederik Lunning during and just after the war, when merchandise from Denmark was unavailable. He was the director of Jensen Operations in the US. LaPaglia was one of the designers working with him.

A Large Hammered Sterling Silver 1927 Golf Trophy from Sedlacek & Co. in Los Angeles. Blue enamel logo "A G C" with golf clubs. Engraved "Invitational Tournament 1927" and "Second Flight Winner." Measures about 9 1/4" across and 7" tall. Weighs about 37 ounces, this is not the silver weight, as the base is weighted. Impressive piece, being sold as-found, has dings to top edge, crimping and excess solder where bowl is attached to pedestal and scattered flaws. Nice period example.

A spectacular Murano glass epergne, made probably by Archimede Seguso, around 1950. The epergne is 12 1/4 inches (31 cm) tall, with a bottom width of 9 inches (23 cm) and a top-width of 4 1/2 inches (12 cm). In fine condition. Unsigned, as expected.

This pretty crystal clear Windsor, aka Diamond, depression glass 8 1/4 inch square three-part Relish Tray was made by Jeannette Glass from 1932 to 1946. This relish tray measures 1 inch high and is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Fostoria made the Camelia etching from 1952-65 on the Century blank. A pair in excellent condition standing 6.75" tall and 7" at their widest.

A nice set of sterling silver cocktail picks, the tops decorated with colorful enameled roosters. The use of the rooster (“cock”) motif in Art Deco barware was a play on the word “cocktail”. Each pick has a hook on the back of the rooster so that it can hang from the edge of the glass. Each is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1927. The picks are presented in their original fitted case embossed Abercrombie & Fitch.

Absolutely beautiful sterling charger with openwork and figural cupids playing musical instruments on a 2" border. There is a vermeil wash over both sides of the surface. It is sogned Howard & Co. sterling and measures 1" tall x 9 1/2" diameter and is in perfect condition.

Large stylized murano glass figure of a kneeling Asian, rendered in two shades of smoky gray glass with amethyst undertones. The figure is made of simple forms, but the attention to detail is evident in the face and head of the figure. The figure stands 13.5 inches (34.2 cm) tall and is slightly over 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide and is 7.5 inches (19 cm) deep. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. A hanging basket for flowers, by Kähler, Denmark, c 1920-1930. Slip glaze decoration typical of Kähler, with swirls in black, blue and brown over white, the glaze of a glossy, "watery" look. Three glazed holes for chains. Unmarked. Diameter "6½/ 16,5 cm, height "4/ 10,5 cm. Condition: chip and glaze wear to rim, some wear also to the green-glazed interior.

Anchor Hocking Bubble (Boopie) 4 oz. Juice or Wine were made from 1940-65 (4.5" tall). Not often labeled Bubble, it is commonly called Boopie. Large Georgian-style sterling silver serving tray. Made by Frank W. Smith in Gardner, Mass. Round with molded curvilinear ogee-arch piecrust rim. A nice traditional piece in the aptly named Chippendale pattern. This maker active until 1958. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern name, and no. 218. Very good condition.

Spratling designed this extraordinary pair of sterling wall sconces in the 1950's. Hand forged in sterling silver, each sconce measures 7 1/4" high X 7 1/4" across. Total weight of the pair is 300 grams. The sunburst composition is reminiscent of the sterling silver necklace Spratling designed for cosmetic entrepreneur & philanthropist Helena Rubenstein in the 1940's. The sconces are in beautiful vintage condition. Both are signed WILLIAM SPRATLING TAXCO MEXICO, eagle 30.

Horizon is a Fostoria pattern that was produced from 1951 to 1958. It is a perfect blend of 'fifties modern' and simple elegance. This covered candy jar is 5 inches in diameter. The color is Spruce Green. It's in very good condition, with only a tiny flea bite off the inner rim of the lid. See my other listings for more in this pattern.

Baby quilt embroidered with the child's prayer "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" with a yellow border. In each corner is a child kneeling in prayer with a baby animal or pet: a girl with a lamb, a boy with puppy, girl with bunny, and a boy with a kitten. Very good antique/vintage condition with some wear at the edges. Well quilted and embroidered, it measures 32" x 37.5". Dates circa 1930's.
