German Silver salt & pepper shakers and place card holders. Circa 1890, these pheasants have several hallmarks, among them "800" and "Germany". Fully three-dimensional and detailed all the way around. Both of the heads can be removed to fill with salt and pepper. There is a slit in both of them to place a card. Both of the bases measure 3" long and 2 1/8" wide. One is 3.5" tall and the other is 3" tall. The overall weight of the pair is 160.1 grams.

Beautiful lobed Kutani yaki dish in Yoshidaya style, modern. Decoration of camellia in white, aubergine, green, speckled yellow and gilt. The back with a character in gilt, possibly Qiu, meaning Autumn. It is also defined by Graesse in his classical work about pottery and porcelain marks as from the village of Shinomine in Arita. Early Carder Steuben gold Aurene vase with ruffled rim. The 3 1/4 inch tall vase measures 4 inches across the rim, is signed “Aurene 162" and has the soft early coloration of the early production pieces. A very nice antique Chinese glass paperweight featuring a lampwork poinsettia. The bright red petals are arranged in a double row around a sulfur yellow millefiori center and are accented with a green stem and a pair of leaves. The Chinese copied this design from New England Glass Company paperweights of the 19th century. The glass in this example is relatively good quality, with only few small bubbles, and is considerably larger than many examples...
