This Art Deco charger, c 1939, is from Kupittaan pottery in Finland. The decoration, a male nude combined with a border of laurel leaves, suggests a Olympics venue. The 1940 Olympic Games, originally scheduled for Japan, was rescheduled for Helsinki, Finland. Those games were postponed because of the Soviet invasion of Finland in 1939. This charger probably was created in anticipation of the Helsinki games. It measures 14" in diameter, and is in mint condition. A very rare object.

Venini 'a canne' bowl in alternating stripes of red, and clear glass, with applied clear glass foot. Foot has polished pontil and is stamped Venini murano ITALIA. The bowl measures 9.75 inches (24.7 cm) in diameter and stands 5.25 inches (13.3 cm) tall. It has a wavy rim like most 'a canne' pieces. Possibly Scarpa or Paulo Venini, of 1950's vintage. This faience figural group was produced in Bologna, Italy by Aurelio Minghetti in the early 1900s. This piece was sold by the retailer “Carbone” of Boston, who handled European imports from about 1910 to 1920. It measures 16 inches high, 9 1/2 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. It is well modeled and hand painted. The garments on the Madonna have colorful detail. There is a feel of serenity and ancient Mediterranean tradition in the piece...

German Silver salt & pepper shakers and place card holders. Circa 1890, these pheasants have several hallmarks, among them "800" and "Germany". Fully three-dimensional and detailed all the way around. Both of the heads can be removed to fill with salt and pepper. There is a slit in both of them to place a card. Both of the bases measure 3" long and 2 1/8" wide. One is 3.5" tall and the other is 3" tall. The overall weight of the pair is 160.1 grams.

Rare, early Eva Englund vase from her days at Pukeberg prior to joining Orrefors. The piece dates from 1966, is very large and in exceptional condition.
