Fratelli Toso Rose Bowl constructed of Cattedrale (or Tiffany Window) murrines in reds, greens, yellows and blue. The murrines feature clear "windows" of glass.Some have "bullseye" configurations in the clear window and black (nerox) glass frames. This is a delightful 4 inch (10.2 cm) diameter bowl with a height of 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) due to the polished top. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Circa 1955.

Charming stylized donkey in the "colorization without fusion" technique by Ercole Barovier. On a recent visit to Murano, I showed a photo of this donkey to Lino Toso, director of the Barovier Toso Museum, and he said he could confirm 80% that this is the work of Ercole. The donkey measures 5.25"h x 2.25"w x 3.25"d, in good condition, unmarked.

A silver mounted Skean Dhu (Sgian-Dubh) with carved horn handle and snakeskin leather sheath made by leading Edinburgh Silversmith Robert Allison and assayed in Glasgow in 1952. Condition: excellent. 20cm (7.8 inches) long.

Famous, large and very heavy brass and tile hand wrought footed box showing HENS by Salvador Teran, Mexico, c.1952. Design shows 5 hens heads on top set in black tiles all around the box. This bright Westmoreland carnival basket shows rich purple and cranberry-red pansies with a petal from each to form the foot. The handles are clear and arc over the flowers to just touch, and the bottom is crystal clear. It measures 4 3/4" across and 4 1/2" high to the top of the handles. An unusual 1940s French cocktail pick holder depicting a "racoleuse"--a streetwalker--leaning against a lamp post and raising her skirt very high. The chrome is engraved in a way to show that her thin dress does nothing to hide her more perky attributes. A selection of bakelite and chrome cocktail picks a stored in the trash can on the other side of the lamp post. Cocktail picks, often with very elaborate holders, were vastly popular in France and come in infinite variety...

This is beautiful piece that can be used as a candlestick holder or a small vase. It has a lovely Scandinavian, flowing design. Made of sterling silver, it stands 5 1/8" tall. Its base has a diameter of 3". It weighs 3 ounces. The base is marked with a whale hallmark and marked DENMARK. I have left it unpolished. It is truly beautiful and in excellent condition.

Cut glass in the Art Deco style was one of the industries established in Japan during the Occupation following World War II, and the products are always of fine quality that easily compete with European products of the same era...

This Murano Glass modern expression is typical of the Flavio Poli vessel and animal designs for Seguso Vetri d'Arte in the 1940's and 1950's. There are many references to the modern forms with multiple sommerso layers of controlled bubbles and a generous layer of gold leaf by Flavio Poli. An identical form is documented in Leslie Pinas' book ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO on page 95, valued there at $500. -700. This fine modern expression is 7" in diameter, 2.75" tall...

20th century glass Venetian Figurine in excellent condition, although unmarked, is probably made by Seguso or Barovier. I am advised by an expert in the field that the leaf supporting the figure at the base suggests Seguso. The polychrome canne jacket and the abundant gold leaf applications illustrate the mastery of the Muranese glassblowers. The figurine is 10.5" tall, in great condition, obviously kept in a cabinet over the years, and bears an import label.

Designed by Christian Fjerdingstad who worked for Christofle of France from 1924-1939, of silver plate, depicting a swan, the head formed from the ladle, the bowl as the bird's body, on pedestal foot, signed on base and on ladle. Measures 2 3/4" high, and 10 1/2" from beak to tail when ladle is resting in bowl. The ladle alone measures 8" and the bowl is 7 7/8" x 3 7/8". The ladle is marked under the bird's head with Gallia and the O C mark, while the bowl is stamped on the side of the pedest...

This lovely Meissen oblong bowl has a cobolt blue background with raised white and gold design in the center and on the edges. It is in perfect condition with no wear to the gold, no cracks, chips, or scratches. It measures 12 1/4" long by 8 1/4" deep.
