This porcelain box was produced in Hungary by Herend between 1905 and 1938. It measures 4 inches long, 3 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches deep. The box is decorated with bright hand painted fruits and flowers. There are tiny flower buds, nuts and bugs dotting the corners. The box has four little feet. It is trimmed with gold on the rims. Melusina or Melusine is a heroine in medieval European folklore. This figurine is a modernist version of her transformation into an often two-tailed mermaid or fish. Unglazed stoneware and gilt hairstyle. Little is known about Y-Keramik other than the workshop was situated in former Western Germany and that the gilding was made of 24 karat gold, this information available on paper labels on other Y-Keramik figures from the 1970's. These two wine stems are a collaboration between two companies: Cambridge Glass made the amethyst art deco flared wine bowl, while Farber Bros. made the cut-out chrome basket, the shapely stem and the broad bell foot. They are marked Farber Bros. on the bottom of each stem. These charming glasses stand 5 3/4" tall and are in excellent condition. This fantastic vaseline tumbler is by Fenton Glass as part of a tea or chocolate set. This bright art nouveau vaseline tumbler features two dramatic wheel cut flowers and leaves surrounding the blown panel bowl. The pulled cobalt blue handle is applied. The bottom is smooth with a finished pontil. This elegant piece of art glass is in excellent, unused condition and stands 5 1/4" tall.

Three metal martini glasses stamped on the bottom "MADE IN/HSIANG YUN CO./HANKOW." Hankow (Hankou) is part of the present day city of Wuhan. In the early 20th century the city contained five foreign concessions.

Possibly paktong or another base metal with a resemblance to silver, though it is considerably harder. 4 ¾ inches (12 cm) tall.

Condition: Made in two parts, one glass is slightly loose where the stem meets the bowl. Another has a low spot at the seam in the bowl...

Beautiful Gorham arts & crafts period (c. 1905) sterling and enamel spoon, measuring 5" long. It has blue, purple, red, and yellow enamel in a lovely arts & crafts design with a gold washed finish. Two interesting German Art Déco pieces from Carstens Uffrecht: interwar period design from around 1930, a small dish/ ashtray and a larger dish. Orange and blue geometric decoration against a mottled white ground, both on supports of distinct, sculptural shape. Raised factory mark and painter's signature. A beautiful Art Deco green-cut-to-clear decanter designed by Charles Graffart for Val St. Lambert. The pyramidal shape capped by an inverted stopper is very linear and perfectly accents the austere overlay cutting pattern. The base is signed "Val St. Lambert" and the stopper is engraved with a number that matches the number inside the decanter's neck.

An interesting silver case with enameled hunter shooting at ducks. No marks. The opening measures 2-3/16" round and the piece is 3-1/2" (h) x 4-1/2"(w) x 1" Two holes for screws are on the back. There is a small dab of solder on the top inside. This appears to be silverplate and would benefit from a cleaning.

A vintage sterling silver vermouth dispenser in the form of a syringe by Gorham. These were called “Martini Spikes” when sold by Gorham in the 1960s. Measuring 9.75 inches in diameter and 3.75 inches high, this gorgeous, Ohio-made, circa 1920's, yellowware fruit bowl features fabulous blue sponging with gold gilt highlights along its decoratively embossed and scalloped rim.

The bowl sits upon a one inch high foot and has glaze crazing typical of an 85+ year old piece of pottery. No chips, cracks, or hairlines. One teeny, tiny fleabite on rim too small to be photographed with any clarity.
