A vintage pair of Chinese porcelain vases purchased in New York during the early 70's. The sexagonal vases feature a bird and flower motif. The gilded rims show faint wear. Marked with a red stamp seal and Made in Hong Kong label. 12-1/4" (h), just shy of 5-1/2" (w).

Gilded sterling silver and blue enamel sauce ladle by David Andersen, the noted Norwegian silversmith and designer. Stamped on the reverse of the twisted handle '925' and with the mark used by David Andersen from 1924-1939. Size: 5.75 inches length. Condition: excellent, with no damage.

Patinated bronze vase by Danish designer Just Andersen (1884-1943). Simple and beautiful Déco design, the shape reminding of the petals of an opening flower. Small engraving to one side of the foot-rim. Marks: GAB (a Swedish company for which Just Andersen worked from c 1930), "brons" and model number 212. Height "5½/ 14 cm. Condition: some wear (scratch marks) as seen on pictures.

Stylized shell form by Licio Zanetti is masterfully sculpted from pure crystal. No glitz here, just pure form. The form is strong and emphasizes those visual qualities unique to glass, and demonstrates the ability of the Muranese artisans to sculpturally interpret elements from their natural environment in masterful ways. Measuring 9.5"w x 4"h x 5.5"d, signed by Licio Zanetti, the sculpture is in good condition, with normal wear at the base.

Teapot, milk jug, cup and saucer, a solitaire service made by the Carl Knoll factory in Czech Carlsbad / Karlovy Vary. Cross-striped like the Victorian bathing-suits – just a coincidence or might there be a thought behind this design? Carlsbad was a fashionable 19th century spa, famous for its hot springs. Impressed mark for 1848 – 1868. Height of teapot "4 ½ / 11 cm including handle, diameter of saucer "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: a nick to the cup (cf. pics).

Sophisticated faceted vessel's purity of form and color suggest Flavio Poli. I have seen similar types of pieces attributed to Poli. The smoke and golden interior colors are soft and appear to float. This piece is in good condition and is the essence of good modern minimalist design. Measuring 1.5"x1.5"x5"h, the form retains a worn but readable import label.

This lovely vase was made in the early 1950s by Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso. Marc Heiremans documents the model #5148 and date of 1952-53 in his book DINO MARTENS, p. 163 and 190. Aventurine, champagne and opalino half filigree embrace the body of the vessel and ribbon details were applied to the lip and neck. The vase measures 5 1/2"H, 4 1/2"D. and is in good vintage condition.

Collection of fourteen 50’s dishes, bowls and vases most of which were made in the miniature republic of San Marino, Italy. Some with lava glaze, others leather-clad and / or sgraffito. Width "3 ½ - 8 / 9 – 20 cm. Condition: fine.

Measuring 5 1/4" across & weighing 156 grams this 940 sterling silver dish was designed by Taxco, Mexico designer Hector Aguilar. The dish is centered with a 1951 coin with a HIDALGO profile. The reverse side of the coin features an eagle fighting a serpent. This candy dish is pictured on p. 67 of SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. HA, 940, TAXCO, & TALLER BORDA and eagle 9 hallmarks are found on the underside rim of the dish.

Gorgeous vintage Hermes silk scarf (“carré”) worked in rich shades of medium blue, cream, golds, browns and greys. The design illustrates various 18th century gilded carriage or chariot wheels, including one emblazoned with an image of the Sun King, Louis XIV. The hand-rolled edges (rolled toward the front) are plump. “Hermès Paris” is worked into the design, as is the signature of the desiger, Caty Latham.

This is a large vase, and rather heavy, 21 1/2" long, 11" across, signed with a "P" in the chalky base. I've examined it closely and find no chips on rim or anywhere else. The piece is entirely hand thrown and decorated/painted, and quite Arts and Craftsy in feeling. I am a paintings specialist so this is somewhat out of my league. I did send images to Rago Auction in New Jersey and they were unable to identify the maker. It was found here in Southern California...

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Fraureuth in 1935. The piece is artist signed but we are unable to identify the signature. It is 7 inches long and 5 3/4 inches high. The dachshund is well modeled with nice breed detail. He is hand painted in natural colors. Condition: Excellent. On the underside of the figurine something was ground off, as shown in the last photo.

Description: There are no chips, no cracks, and no repairs. There are some annealing lines where the handle fits onto the pitcher. This is common on glass of this age. It has a pie crust crimped rim and a clear applied handle.

Offered is this large-sized (height: 8 inches & width: 3"), iridescent glass shade with applied threads, made by Durand/Vineland Glass Company, around 1925. Line 700 was produced by Consolidated Glass Company in 1929. Offered here is the 6 1/2 inch fan vase in in jade. The color is a green ceramic wash applied over crystal and then fired on to fuse it permanently to the surface of the glass. Excellent condition, the color is really lovely! This porcelain vase was produced in Denmark by Dahl Jensen before 1970. It is 6 1/2 inches high and 5 1/4 inches wide. There are artist's initials and inventory numbers on the bottom, 104 over 396. The vase is ovoid but somewhat flattened. It has an interesting crackle glaze imitating the Chinese Satsuma style. There are stylized fruits and flowers hand painted on both sides. It is trimmed with gold, top and bottom. Condition: This handsome vase is in excellent condition.

Lovely Bohemian pale pink cordial set with pastel enameled flowers. The set includes 4 glasses, glass tray, and a decanter with a parrot. We haven't noticed any conditions issues except for age related wear to gold gilt. Decanter measures 10.5 inches high, glasses 2.25" high, tray 7.5" diameter. A very unusual and sweet set.

This beautiful vase was produced by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the pattern is called Jonquil and was produced in the late 1920's. The vase is 6 1/2 inches high and still has the original Consolidated label on the bottom. Excellent condition, I have 2 available, Price is per vase. Fabulous sassy pouch and totally intact, a major feat for a little purse that ancient! Large blue faceted beads, two levels of tiny silver bead fringe and an eight strand long tassel. Great lining and metal drawstring. Some lucky person danced the Charleston with this little purse swinging from her wrist. Diameter of purse fully opened 4 1/2", length of purse 5", length of tassel 2 1/2", wristband tightens automatically by metal drawstring to fit any size wrist.

22104767 A 6 3/4 inch tall Steuben wine glass signed on the foot with the Steuben acid stamped block letter mark. The wine glass has an amethyst cut to clear cup engraved in an unknown pattern as shown on several items in the Carder shape gallery. The wine glass is shape 6505 and is in pristine condition.

A set of six sterling silver coffee spoons by Asprey & Co. Each spoon has a brownish-black bakelite “coffee bean”—a decorative device popular in England during the Art Deco period. Each spoon is fully hallmarked for Asprey, 1931. The spoons are presented in their original silk- and velvet-lined fitted box, the lid of which is imprinted “Asprey/166 Bond St/London”.

Tiffin Twilight free form Bowl measures 8x9 inches and is 4 inches high. It does have a couple of "straw marks", which is normal. Otherwise it is in excellent condition. Remember, this glass changes color depending on the light source: it is blue under flourescent lighting and lavendar under incandescent lighting and in sunlight.

A classic figural sterling silver thimble jigger, the rim ornately engraved “Only A Thimble Full.” The workmanship is very good and the engraving among the nicest we’ve seen. Marked only “Sterling,” it was likely made by either Thomae or Webster.
