Duncan and Miller Blue Opalescent Murano Platter, 14.5" across, Blue Opalescent, produced from 1938-55. It is in mint condition -- very hard to find, probably due to the delicate nature of the reticulated rim.

New Martinsville Glass Company made this decanter and wines. The decanter is 11.25" tall and the 6 wines are 4.5" tall. They're in great shape. Thanks for looking.

Vase stands 10 inches (25.4 cm) tall, and has a "double ruffled" rim. Made by Fenton 1947 to 1952 as model number 189. Unmarked, probably had paper label (Fenton glass was not marked "in mold" until 1953). A fascinating optical effect is caused by the clear glass "dots" that lends interest to this style vase. There is a small burst bubble in the clear casing glass in the lowest row of "dots" that occurred during manufacture. No chips, cracks or repairs. Circa 1950.

Measuring 9.75 inches in diameter and 3.75 inches high, this gorgeous, Ohio-made, circa 1920's, yellowware fruit bowl features fabulous blue sponging with gold gilt highlights along its decoratively embossed and scalloped rim.

The bowl sits upon a one inch high foot and has glaze crazing typical of an 85+ year old piece of pottery. No chips, cracks, or hairlines. One teeny, tiny fleabite on rim too small to be photographed with any clarity...

These glass tear catchers or weeping bottles were for saving tears of grief. Such blown glass receptacles were placed on dressing tables, and on the first anniversary of the death, the tears were poured over the grave. This bottle is 7 3/8" long by 9/16" in diameter.

This beautiful hand painted Muhlhause vase is hand painted and enameled. The glass is an opaque soft white and the enameling design is floral. The colors are rich and the decoration is bright with gold trim to suggest naturalistic Art Nouveau themes of foliage, birds and flowers.

The top is a maroon-brown color. The diameter of the mouth is 3 1/2" and the base is 4 1/2"

Offered is a lovely two-toned bakelite German fruit knife set. Knives are marked Rostfrei Solingen.

A Moser footed master salt with tooled and gilded rim. The colorless salt has a polished pontil mark and is 3.25 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. The salt is decorated with heavy gold enameling. There is wear to the gold on the edge of the foot and on the tooled rim.

Bengt Edenfalk vase for Skruf. This squat, rounded corner vase is from the 1950's Spun series where glass threads are wound around the exterior of the piece as decoration. Edenfalk was a designer for Skruf from 1953 to 1978, then Kosta from 1978 on, pieces from the Spun series were featured in a major exhibition at Corning Museum of Glass in 1959. 5-Light Sterling Candelabra is 9 3/8" tall. I believe the pattern is called Gadroon.

This beautiful comport and liner plate was made by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the piece was produced in the late 1920's. The pattern is called 'Iris', though it looks like wild roses to me.... The comport or mayo bowl is approximately 5 1/2 inches in diameter, the under plate is 7 inches in diameter. Set of 6 800 silver art nouveau figural small teaspoons, Germany, c.1900. Each shows a lovely woman's head with flowing hair in an art nouveau floral setting. The reverse represents the back of the head in a floral setting. Each spoon measures 4 1/2" long. They are signed "800 German marks star" on the back. Six 17th century style sterling silver coffee spoons in the original velvet and satin lined box. The finials are in the shape of globe artichokes. Each spoon is fully hallmarked for London, 1946. Both the spoons and the box are in mint condition. Spoons 4" long.

This porcelain group was produced in Denmark by Bing & Grondahl between 1955 and 1957. The model number is 1524. It measures 3 inches high by 3 inches wide. The figure is modeled with fine detail. The fur, toes and fingers are all well defined. Their facial expressions give these little imps charm. They are hand painted in earth tones. Condition: They are in excellent, original condition with a minor glaze pit. This is mentioned for accuracy.

Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Coffee Pot, made in "Denmark", 9 1/2" high, 6" wide with handle, hand painted vivid and crispy floral design with highlight with gold, the porcelain body is fluted vertical low relief lines on the surface. Underneath the cover is also marked with "Royal Copenhagen" mark as well as on the bottom of the pot. The condition is good, no damage or restoration.

Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the cup & saucer set in the rainbow treatment. The color is ruby flash applied over crystal glass. What makes this plate interesting is that the color is applied only to the outer edge of the plate, leaving the center crystal. This treatment was called 'rainbow' and is difficult to find...

A fine quality, fully hand painted English bone china covered oval entree dish dated 1907. Made by Royal Crown Derby in the 6452 pattern, this 11-1/4" x 7-3/4" serving dish has a cobalt band with matte gold painting including a grape vine motif and white enamel jewelling. A work of studio pottery, found in Southern California, the color a rich earthy brown, the vessel pierced intentionally by the artist to create naturalistic openings, similar to the distinctive style of Peter Voulkos (1924-2002). The piece measures 7 1/2" high by 5" diameter. The piece is signed on the bottom "Balvin 79". Surprisingly I do not see a studio potter by this name, but the artist was obviously talented and also familiar with Voulkos' acclaimed work.

The Santa maria line was produced by Consolidated Glass Company in 1926 and items in this line are very difficult to find. Offered here is the #2566 Covered Cigarette Box in crystal. The cover depicts Columbus' flagship, the Santa Maria, while the bottom has dolphins on each side. Excellent condition. The original company ad reads, "Appeals to both men and women. Can be used for cigarettes or on a dresser or vanity to hold powder." (I keep tootsie rolls in mine....)
