A delightful French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the form of a carved rosewood cat arching his back to hiss at a little chrome snail. A wooden rack holds six chrome cocktail picks, each topped with a snail. All are presented on a macassar ebony base. An unusual French Art Deco cocktail pick set featuring a stylized snail carved from beautifully-grained macassar ebony. The snail has a very unusual streamline aerodynamic appearance and colorful phenolic ornaments on the antennae. The set is completed with an ebony and bakelite "basket" holding chrome cocktail picks with multicolored phenolic heads.

The subject matter of Putti assisting to direct the looker is undeniably charming On this dressing mirror, finely cast with its original beveled mirror, Ca 1940. Original circa 1930's Chocolat Vinay box, circular, 9 3/4" diameter, 2 1/8" in height, the outer surfaces covered in lithographed patterns featuring what appear to be white roses against a Deco style patterned background. The interior of the box is printed in a gold and violet rose pattern. The bottom is a dark red, with the identification of the manufacturer of the chocolates. The box though it exhibits heavy wear---on the surfaces, and edges----retains a collectability...

This box, although not signed, appears to be done by DeVez. It has a lovely sceic enamel top of a house in the snow It also is decorated on the sides, and measures 2 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" wide. It is in perfect condition.

This is an unusual rectangular bronze casket-form in ornate Gothic Revival style, having cast bas relief, highly decorated with religious motif illustrating scenes from the life of Christ; circa 1870's.
