Tall Chinese hardwood cabinet in two sections, elaborately carved all over with scenes of eight dragons in light color wood on dark hardwood ground carved with swirling clouds, rocks and waves. The sides of the cabinet are also made of dark hardwood and carved with scrolling key fret motif. Brass hardware is incised with matching key fret and chimera designs. c. 1950.

A mid century Japanese Biraki Kimono Tansu (chest with hinged doors) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) Wood. Two large hinged doors open to a set of three Kimono trays. Side handles used for carrying the tansu from place to place. Front door plates feature Paulownia flowers and leaves.

A vintage Japanese book box called Honbako made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. 2 Hinged doors open to a storage space with a removable shelf. Below are 3 drawers where personal effects were stored. Original hardware including the Warabite handles. Constructed using straight dovetail joinery and wood dowels to hide the nail connections.

A vintage Chinese coffer altar cabinet in the Ming style made entirely of Huanghuali wood including the back and the interior shelves. All original brass square plate and loop handles with a pair of double hinged doors and 3 side by side drawers above. With classic spandrels and apron for the feet. The maker spared no expense using the finest quality materials and joinery craftsmanship in producing this piece.

Pair of monumental sized Chinese coromandel type screens. Four panels each, for eight panels. Incised and polychrome lacquered decoration of immortals in heavenly palace-garden landscape. Good and serviceable condition. Vintage, probably about mid 20th century or earlier. Height, 8 feet high (about 244 cm). Width, each panel 16 inches wide (about 40.64 cm each panel).
A mid century artist signed Ikebana basket for flower arranging. Made of delicate fine split bamboo, thin bamboo and Akebi vine. The three dimensional shape resembles a flared skirt when viewed in front and a boat keel when viewed from the side. A vintage Japanese contemporary low Mizuya Tansu made from solid Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. Two sliding doors open to a spacious storage area.
