Circa 1920-30, Chinese gem quality six color banded agate of a scholar with dragon. Colors are grey, black, white, carnelian, blue and rare yellow hair. Just a fabulous and superbly worked piece. Carving measures just under 2.5" high, on stand measures 3" high.

A Chinese turquoise stone urn and cover carved with phoenix and other birds and animals among branches and flowering vines all around.

Age: Late 19th to early 20th century

Condition: Some breakage and losses (restoration) but in generally good condition (please refer to pictures)

Lovely pair of Chinese jade and agate peony floral arrangements, flowers in various colors of pink, yellow, orange and cream with dark green leaves of jade, cloisonné planter base with scholar motif design. Good condition.

A finely carved Chinese agate in the form of a popular motif often seen in Tibet which is the windhorse. The use of Tibetan motifs in Chinese arts began during the Ming dynasty with patronage of the Tibetan high lamas and continued onwards into the Qing Dynasty. The windhorse is carrying a pecha or sutra text, a signature motif often found on windhorses. The stylized ribbons and the waves are done in the Chinese style. Beautiful Chinese amethyst carved with a lotus blossom, now mounted as a clip. Age: Early 20th century (c. 1920) Size: 1.5" length.

Size: 7.5cm in diam. Condition: Very good. Minor scratches and wears because of aging.
