Unusual set of Oribe small bowls in fish form, all signed on base with oval Oribe mark, the bases with crosshatching designs, the flowing glaze of green, tan, and rosy red hues. Measure 5" wide and 2 3/4" deep, 1 1/2' high. All roughly the same size, each with wonderful Oribe glaze of green over buff colored body, the green appearing with blue hints, most with the contrasting rosy red on the interiors and sides. Bowl form, used for small portions of food or condiments, would add much interest...

Japanese Earthenware Studio Vase, with dripping oily glaze, maybe Seto ware, 9 3/4" high, 4 1/2" diameter-top rim, 4 1/4" diameter-bottom rim, oily drippy glaze applied just over half way down, rest of glaze is chestnut brown color. Lots of glare in the photographs. The condition is good, no damages.

Vintage Japanese Satsuma tea set with 2 cups with lids and a teapot with bamboo handle. the set is dedicated for a honorary gift written in gold on the back side and each cup and the teapot are signed. Good condition though there is some staining from use. This set was purchased in 1990 in Kagoshima . No damage wear to gold, size cup h 3" to finial and 3" wide the teapot 4.25 to top of finial.

The size of Charger: 12 3/8" Dia x 1 3/4" High. Very Fine Japanese Aote Kutani Charger. Aote is green in Kutani ware terminology which was Miyamoto kiln originated. The charger is made with fine crackle glazing earthenware body finish as many Kutani piece in modern age. It has wonderful workmenship and design of Oshidori(mandarin duck) with Plum tree and bamboo. It has fine handpainted decoration of enamels. The plate was decorated with Kutani artist name Kitamoto Gakuyo...

A delicately painted Satsuma pottery jar with two courtyard scenes of daily life for the Japanese elite. The rest of the jar features a complex ground of various patterns.
