A Japanese Arita porcelain plate or dish of circular form raised on a low foot. Decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a Kingfisher perched amid grasses and lotus fronds, the base has a running Fuku mark. In excellent condition, it measures 6 inches diameter and 1" high.

Three Water Droppers from Japan. Two droppers show a boy holding a red snapper fish which is symbolic of good luck. The third dropper has Hotei's bag holding the water. This set of 5 porcelain serving bowls is packed in their original paper box. They are a mid-20th century product. The bowls are 2 ¼” high and 4 ½” in diameter. They have blue, green and orange floral and pattern designs inside and outside. There is a maker’s mark “Oyoshi kiln” on the bottoms. They were never used and are in excellent condition.

An elegant celadon receptacle with custom made black lacquered lid by important female potter Suwa Sozan II titled Seiji Mizusashi and enclosed in a wooden box annotated by the third generation head of the family. Japanese Fukagawa vase with raised persimmon. Fukagawa is located in Saga (Arita/Imari area) in sourthern Kyushu ireland and has been well known for its quality white porcelain. The signature indicates that this was probably made in early 1900s. The measurements are 6 1/4 inches high and 5 1/4 inches wide in diameter.

DESCRIPTION: This vintage eight-sided Japanese platter is raised on a square foot with blue underglazed geometric designs covering the flat interior and with chrysanthemums scattered over diagonal cross hatching around the raised edges. Perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, and dating to the first half of the 1900’s; maker’s mark and collector’s stickers are on the back.
