Condition: Very good. The tonal difference at the lower right corner appears to be an impression flaw, rather than a matte line.

Condition: Back top edge has paper residue. Point-sized dot in sky.

Chinese antique six lobed deep stoneware bowl. Covered all over in a buff colour celadon glaze. Straight circular foot ring.

Size: Approximately 6-7/8" diameter by 2-3/4" high

Condition: Overall in very good condition. There is one chip on the foot ring. The base of the bowl holds the remnants of three kiln firing stints.

Age: Yaun Dynasty (1279 - 1368)

Small drum handle probably from the small drum of a young shaman. The patina is light brown with beautiful sculptures showing deep reliefs. The design remains classic with a dorgi with deep vertical sculptures, the beak of the Makara is original with a bold circular opening, each side of the triangular tip is carved of the Shiva trident, a pair of intertwined snakes and a standing shaman. A stylish cloisonné (shippo) beaker vase by Ando, 10” in height, circa 1950 – 1970. It has the original box with a pamphlet issued by the Ando Cloisonne Company, the leading cloisonné company in Japan. The note briefly introduces the company, how their cloisonné are made (with photos) and a photo of the very famous enameled mirror discovered in *Shoso-in.

Shiko Munakata (1903 ~ 1975)

Seated Figure. Here titled by the artist, "At Columbus" (コランバスに於て). Also signed by the artist and dedicated in pencil in Japanese at the top right, "to Ms. Ryuko Sato".
Munakata's famous 1959 United States lecture tour took him through Ohio. On the tour, he was known to carve one-off woodblock prints on the spot at gatherings and present them to hosts or guests, as once described on the Antiques Roadshow...

Yuki boshi (snow hat), or yuki kabuto (snow helmet) made of Obana, or Yamagaya (Japanese pampas) and cotton yarn for decoration. It has belts made of indigo dye and hand spun cotton inside. In good condition except for some wear in the decorative yarn. The first half of the 20th century. W:48cm, L:48cm

This embroidered shirt panel is typical of the traditional embroidery of Kandahar ("khamak") in its limited range of colors and its depiction of geometric motifs of traditional Islamic art. Silk thread in extremely delicate satin stitch in counted-thread technique on a fine silk background which has been stitched to a cotton linen. It measures 38 x 43.5 cm and is dated to the early 20th century. Condition excellent, only two inconspicuous stains on one side.

Metal standing Buddha with seal mark on base 6.5" a small seated Guanyin in brass 2" a Thai antique ? seated Buddha in plastic case for wearing or for car or key chain attachment 2.75" h and a great brass bell Chinese leaf bail top and engraved clouds and foo dogs. Japanese bronze fu-dog and ball. The playful fu-dog stands with mouth open in a dynamic pose with back feet on the ground and front paws on the ball. The ball is made of open work bronze with a design of peonies and scrolling vines.

A small khalta (pouch) in cross stitch from Kunduz province, Afghanistan, hand-embroidered by Uzbek women of the Lakai tribe. Circa 1950. The bag is lined inside with red cotton, and the outlines on the exterior are embellished with tassles and white glass beads...

Vintage small Chinese scholar’s buffalo horn seal of square section, traces of red seal paste in the grooves. The impression of the seal is shown on the first photo where it is flipped left to right to present the image as it will print on paper. Beautiful light colored horn, mellow patina, in great condition. Very nice object for a scholar’s desk. Height 1.48 inches, base 0.58 inches square.
