The screen is hand-painted on black lacquer with wooden body. Origin of screen unknown, but I believe form Japan. The age of screen is about 40-50 years old. The condition of screen excellent. Chinese carved Turquoise Ornament or Tassel with Chinese Characters, and Macrame knot, 7/8" high-maximum height, and 1/2" high, 3/4" wide, 3/8" thick for carved Turquoise only, two(2) round Turquoise beads on top and bottom together, the carved turquoise pendant is before 1920's. The condition is good.
Stoneware water jar or mizusashi as used in the tea ceremony with round bottom developing into a diamond shaped edge. Greyish smooth stoneware, decorated with horizontal grooves, covered with brown iridescent glaze on the outside and with a mottled greenish-yellow glaze on the inside, dripping over the outside edge and down. Black lacquered, diamond-shaped coved. Takatori style, Japan, early Showa era, circa 1930-1950s.

Ancient Thai Mon Period Lacquered and gilded Stucco Buddhist Head. The over life-size head is believed to be that of a temple guardian figure. The sculpture was split from ear to ear when we acquired it and had it restored to museum quality the gold is original only the left lower cheek was redone . The head was built around a brick wrapped is a gauze textile . We had the sculpture mounted on a Lucite stand
Japanese multi metal engraved plaque depicting an actor dressed in a rich robe wearing a demonic mask and a long red colored wig surmounted by a twisting dragon decoration. The actor represents Ryujin, the Dragon God of the Sea, and most likely is performing in the Noh play, KASUGA RYUJIN “The Dragon God of Kasuga Shrine”. Superb quality work with crisp carving, gilding and differently colored patinas, in perfect condition. Beautifully framed (have not been examined out of the frame)...
Pair of Han Dynasty Winged Doist Imortals in Bronze. The near matching figures one with its core and the other with less patina has remains of a black lacquer surface. Beautiful detail . There are similar figures like these in Chinese museums. Google search for "Doist winged figures playing" and you can see similar pieces . Vintage chinese peking glass bowl with a gold leaf rim. The outside is decorated with beautiful, intricate scenery depicting an oceanside temple amidst large rock formations and trees, while tiny sail boats and birds float off in the distance. The inside of the bowl has a similar depiction of a small house by the ocean. Signed and stamped on its side, and marked on the bottom.

Carving of a Chinese scholar made from dark hardwood with lighter orange highlighted areas, his eyes closed as if in deep meditation. He sits with one leg curled underneath himself, his left arm rested upon a carved stool or small table, with the face of a beast. He holds a scroll in his hand and creates a Buddhist mudra gesture with the same hand.

Japanese woodblock print of a tall pagoda standing in a moonlit scene, with several ladies walking the streets under parasols, and small shops lit by lanterns along the side. Signed "Tangyu Asada" (1899-1984) with chop and calligraphy. Tangyu's birth name was Benji Asada, born in Kyoto, he was active in Sosaku Hanga artist circles in the area.
